The episode starts with Atal tell Krishna Vajpayee/KV that he will learn to lie like his father. KV asks why is he saying this, what did he lie. Atal calls KM down and shows her bruised hands. Shyamlal shows his concern towards KM. KV nervously says they are parents and should follow their duty. KM says Atal is insisting her to convince him to work after school. KV refuses and says Atal will only work. Atal says he will work after school. KV asks Shyamlal to explain Atal to stop his stubbornness. Shyamlal tells Atal that the house from where they fetch water has lots of problems, even then they help everyone; Atal has to become a lamp and a sun. Atal asks what does he mean. Shyamlal says he will explain the morning.
Next morning, Atal asks Shyamlal the meaning. Atal says him working and helping his mother is like a lamp which has darkness under it while if he gains knowlege and raises like a sun, he can help everyone. Atal says he will help a many people as he can and will study well for that.
Babulal tells his friends that he heard Atal sang Ram katha really well and changed A British officer’s mind, Atal is very talented and gets blessings from their heart. They all say he is right. Tomar and Dayal mock them. Babban says they will look very small in front of Atal some day. They both get angry and warn them to respect them. Babban says Tomar is a suspended inspector and is equal to them now. Dayal warns Babban to mind his language. Babban says Dayal as a teacher taught only to hate fellow Indians. Atal walks in and tells Babban that he cannot insult his guru. Babulal says Atal is supporting one who thinks ill about him. Atal says his dadaji says one should respect a guru, so he will respect even Dayal.
A group of pandits walk and trouble Atal. KV warns them to spare his son. They say they were suppose to recite Ram katha yesterday and get money, but Shyamlal and Atal recited Ram katha and took their money and hence they want their money. Atal refuses, but KV decides to give them money.
Precap: KV asks Atal to walk home with Prem and Sada as he is going to fix cycle chain. Tomar orders his aides to kidnap Atal and make him a beggar.
