Audience will get to see the family as well as spiritual side of Ravan in Mahadev: Manish Wadhwa

27 January 2013 will see the entry of one of the most important characters in Life OK’s Devon Ke Dev … Mahadev. Well if you are wondering who we are talking about, read on…

As per a reliable source Ravan will make his grand entry in the popular Triangle Films Company show Mahadev on 27 January. And as reported in the media the character will be played by Manish Wadhwa, who was last seen as Chanakya in Imagine TV’s Chandragupta Maurya.

When contacted, Manish gave us a brief on his new character on television, “This will be my first mythological show after being associated with historical and fantasy based shows earlier.”

Since the actor has played a guru (teacher) in Chanakya we asked him if he was fine taking up a negative role, that of the mighty Ravan and he promptly replied, “We will be focusing more on the intellectual side of Ravan here and also on his devotion towards Lord Shiva. So, the audience will get to see the family and also the spiritual side of Ravan.”

Talking about his look he told us, “It is a larger than life character and the makers have created a very beautiful look. I think this is one of the best look that an actor would come across. I am sure the audience will enjoy watching it.”

Usually one takes a lot of time in dressing up when it comes to a mythological show. So we made it a point to ask Manish about the same and he said, “It takes around one and a half hours now as my character has a lot of accessories to put on which includes the hair, moustache, tika and the jewellery.”

So, for how long do we see him as Ravan on the show? “If you guys like the character it might just go on (smiles),” ended the talented actor.

Manish, we hope you repeat the success of Chanakya with your new role of Ravan
