Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava 5th October 2012 Written Update by BizzyLizzy

Part I

Raghav vows that if Rana tries to harm his family this time, he will leave him in a such a state that he wouldn’t be able to do anything. A worried Sia rushes over to him and tells him that his anger and fears are legitimate, but his family is equally worried about his safety. His mother also has a valid point. She then cups his face and asks him why he thinks he is alone, when she is with him every step of the way. She asks him to trust her, to trust that she will never lead him down the wrong path, and that eventually everything will turn out for the better. Raghav is still angry, but keeps quiet. Sia hugs him, and prays that she has the strength to lead him down the right path and that they will be able to protect their family.

Saxena is now shown kicking the doctor black and blue, and the doctor pleads for forgiveness for his mistake. Saxena hisses that what he did wasn’t a simple mistake but a crime. He cannot imagine how Viraaj could have slipped off their fingers so easily. The doctor confesses that he had thought that because he was ‘mad’ he would be unable to do anything to save himself (some doctor you turned out to be!) and that he wanted to kill him himself. Saxena realises that Viraaj got away because of their carelessness, and hits the doctor again. Again, the doctor begs forgiveness, and then says that even Rana will not forgive him for this. He then tells him that they should advertise that a demented criminal is roaming freely around, so that he will be caught more easily. Saxena vows to finish Viraaj off himself.

Viraaj is running in the streets to save himself and bumps into several people in the process. He eventually bumps into a sabzi cart, toppling over a few vegetables. He attempts to apologize and people around him surmise that he has probably escaped from the madhouse. Viraaj manages to temporarily distract the vegetable seller, and steal a vegetable in the process.

In the meantime, Sia is checking a file in her room when a news report on Viraaj’s escape is broadcasted on TV, driving Sia almost mad with worry. Still in shock, she decides to call Raghav and tell him about it. Raghav is shocked when she tells him over the phone. She also tells him that what she suspected must be true – that Viraaj was just playing up to their sympathies, and that it won’t work. Raghav instructs her to get everyone in the house who is outside, back home as soon as possible, and not allow anyone inside the house to go out. Sia reassures him that everyone is at home, and Raghav tells her he will reach home straightaway, and that their house will be the very first where he will land up. Sia tells him she will take care of everything. Raghav then tells her that if Viraaj attempts to harm any of them this time, he will not even listen to her, and stop at nothing to get rid of him. Sia tells him that in this matter she won’t stop him either — in fact, they both will stand together and ensure that he is duly punished.

As Sia puts down the phone, she hears the sound of something breaking, and looks behind to see a shocked Gayathri seeing the newsflash on Viraaj. Hearing the commotion, Tashu comes in asking Gayathri what happened, and then sees the newsflash herself.

Viraaj is now sleeping, hidden behind the Krishna-Radha idols of a temple, closing his ears to block off chants. He eventually wakes up fully and realises where he is. As a bhakt moves forward to worship the idols, Viraaj sneaks up and sees prasad placed behind them. He reaches out to take some when another hand catches his, stopping him.

The bhakt scolds him for stealing prasad rather than taking it from the pujari. The pujari comes up to them and calms the bhakt down before asking him what the problem is, which the bhakt promptly does. The pujari cheerfully tells him that he had probably forgotten to give the man in white the prasad, and gives him one of the sweets. Viraaj points to another sweet, and the pujaran gives it to him, laughing gently. He then asks him to hold out his hand, and gives him a dhaaga and chants mantras over it. He then tells Viraaj that it will protect him, and Viraaj sees it as fit comeuppance against the bhakt who had scolded him.

As he moves away, the pujari tells the bhakt that this man is probably not in his senses, and that he is possibly paying for the mistakes of his previous life. It was also possibly through God’s mercy that he had reached here and that partaking the prasad might bless him as well.

Raghav is waiting for Sundar, who then arrives apologizing for the delay. He tells Raghav that the news is not just some rumour; Viraaj has left the assylum. He wonders what he might do next. Raghav tells him firmly that this time he will not be able to do anything.

Saxena is on the phone telling his police force to buck up and continue the search, while the doctor is still tending to his wounds. After he finishes his call, Saxena continues to hit the doctor, who now protests saying that hitting him will not help Saxena in his search. Saxena hits him again and tells him he needs to learn a lesson: never to consider his enemy as weaker than he is. He tells him forget about thinking of himself as strong and smart, he will not even consider himself a doctor. He abuses the doctor even more saying that if he can’t consider himself a doctor why is he bothering to treat himself (why, ordinary people won’t know the basics of First Aid or what? ). Saxena stops, hearing his phone ring. Gayathri asks him about Viraaj’s escape, and Saxena has little to say besides ‘really unfortunate’. Gayathri tells him that this kind of lackadaisical behaviour isn’t done, especially when he had assured them that he would take this matter up personally. She expresses her worry for the family, and Saxena tells her that she need not fear for them, and that he will not be left in a state to do anything to anyone.

Sia is, in the meantime, on the phone asking Raghav whether he and Sundar have left the house. On hearing that they have, she tells them to get home soon. Gayathri asks Sia where Krish is, and Tashu tells her that he is safe, and she has just left him in his room. Gayathri instructs Tashu to take care of him and not let him go anywhere. Gayathri checks the front door, asks Sia whether all the other doors are locked as well – to which Sia says that they are and that she’s instructed the security to stay extra alert. Gayathri then asks her about Raghav and Sundar, and Sia tells her that they have just left office and that perhaps she should rest a little. Gayathri tells her to call them and tell them to take another route so that Viraaj – who knows the way to the house – can’t follow them via the company route. Sia tries to calm her down and brings her some water to drink. She tells her that since they are all together in this, nothing will happen. She then asks Gayathri if she trusts her. Gayathri nods, and Sia tells her all will be well, and that Raghav and Sunder are on their way.

The police are still searching for Viraaj and land up at the temple. Viraaj thanks the pandit. The police hold a picture of him and asks passersby if they have seen him, and eventually the bhakt who scolded him recognizes the face on the picture. Viraaj is just passing by them, and someone pushes past him, making the sweet fall from his hands. Viraaj squeals at the man, calling him an idiot. The policeman seems to recognize the voice and turns around, but Viraaj has already bent down to take the sweet by then and therefore escapes notice. Viraaj takes the sweet, wipes it on his sleeve, eats it and leaves.

Part II

Sia asks Raghav’s friends from the basti whether they have seen the news about Viraaj’s escape. They tell her that it was Raghav who notified them and they came to the Singh house as soon as they were informed. They assure her that they will protect the house and keep guard outside, and that no one can enter while they are doing so. Sia is profusely grateful, but the men tell her to inform him as soon as they need something, and that they will be just outside the house. As they leave, Sia turns and sees Gayathri standing in front of the idols and comforts her saying that nothing will happen to them, citing the example of the bastiwalas. Gayathri tells her that she trusts Sia and the men from the basti, but even if she wants to she cannot trust Raghav to stop himself from doing things on impulse that might prove detrimental to them. She confesses to Sia that she cannot be strong anymore, and that if anything happens to anyone in this family, she might not be able to handle it physically OR mentally. Sia tells not to say these things, and that she will never let Raghav go down a wrong path. Gayathri makes her promise this.

Sundar wonders how despite all the precautions taken Viraaj was able to escape. Raghav tells him that this is really a repeat of what has happened before. He is sure of the fact that Viraaj is faking his innocence. Raghav’s car passes by a chaatwala – with Viraaj walking from the opposite direction – and because he is speaking to Sundar Raghav is unable to see him properly. Viraaj sees the panipuri and tries to take one, but is stopped by the chaatwala. Someone else turns away so that he can’t take the puri either, and finally Viraaj grabs an onion and runs away.

Sundar still has doubts about the escape; he feels that Rana wanted to kill Viraaj off and that this news about Viraaj escaping is probably a red herring thrown their way, and that Viraaj has possibly been killed. Ragahav then takes a decisive U-Turn leaving Sundar confused. He tells Sundar that the men from the basti will take care of the Singh women, and that they need to check the assylum first.

Part III

Viraaj sees a group of children eating ice-cream and moves forward to join them. He tells them he wants an ice-cream, and the kids, who were confused earlier, now decide to poke fun at him. One of the boy pretends to give him the ice-cream, only to pull it away when he tries to catch. All the children join in.

Sundar tells him it would be better to go home first. Raghav tells him that Viraaj is the root of their problems and he would rather see him with his own eyes. The children surrounding Viraaj in the meantime call him mad even as he protests, and the leader of the group hits him with a stone. Viraaj cries out.

Precap: Raghav sees a crowd on the road, and tells them to quieten down. He sees Viraaj with a stone in his hand.
