Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se ‘has to be’ my big break – Mansi Srivastava

The very pretty looking Mansi Srivastava who was earlier seen in Suvreen Guggal and Rab Se Sohna Ishq is ecstatic on bagging her first lead role in FilmFarm India’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se on Zee TV.
In a conversation with us she talks about her journey and more.

Firstly, talking on her role, she explains, “I will be seen as Shivani Rana who is more like a princess in a fairytale. She is from a rich family and she has been pampered by her grandfather as she does not have parents. She is also very close to Raghu (Arhaan Behll) who looks after her. She is happy as she will be getting married very soon.”

On her professional journey so far, she states, “I came down to Mumbai in December 2012 after completing my studies. I also participated in some theater work in Delhi. From then on there has not been a single day when I did not audition for shows. I find it too difficult to sit at home and wait for work to come my way. I kept getting work because I kept working hard towards it. This is my big break (smiles).”

Talking about her co-stars in the new show, she avers, “It is pretty exciting to work with Alok ji (Nath) whom I have seen in Hum Saath Saath Hain and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Arhaan (Behll). Arhaan is very popular and I learnt about it during our outdoor shoot in Jodhpur.”

On moving from youth based shows to daily soaps, Mansi opines, “It was good being part of a youngsters’ show. But I like being connected to the audiences of all age groups and not just the youngsters. I also enjoy this more as most of the people I know want to watch such shows.”
