Scene 1
Mohini comes to Ganga’s place. Mohini says your place smells so nice of the pickle. Ganga says you won’t get to taste it until you learn to cook pumpkin. She says to apply the oil. It’s better than your Madrasi coconut oil. Mohini says I am Malyali. She says if pumpkin juices touch your hands it itches. She asks if Mohini likes Harphoul. Mohini smiles and nods. She says he’s nice. Ganga says who knows what happens inside the house? Like, look at Shardha, who knows she’s beaten so badly in that house? Mohini is shocked. She recalls how Shardha was scared of Balwant.

Shardha cries thinking about her child. Surinder gives her water. He says no one cares about your tears here. I will shoot him one day and take him with you. She says you’re suffering with me as well. He says I will face him one day. Mohini thinks about Shardha. She says a woman shouldn’t live in a house where she’s not respected. Scene 2

He asks Shardha to come out of the car. It’s Mohini inside the car. Bali is confused. Harphoul takes Shardha with her on the bike. Her face is covered. Mohini thanks Suridner for dropping her. He says you saved my uncle, I could do this. Surinder came to Mohini and Harphoul. He said Bali saw us. We have to talk to Phoolmati. Mohini asks Shardha to go with Harphoul. She said I am with you. They hid her face and Mohini sat in the car. Shardha says to Harphoul I am worried for you. You go from here. He says I will stay here outside the temple. Shardha asks him to leave. Bali calls Balwant and tells him Shardha wasn’t in the car. It was Mohini, Surinder was dropping her off. He asks where are you? Bali says I am near the temple.

Mai meets Shardha. Mai hides. Mohini asks Harphoul if Shardha said anything. He says you were right about Shardha. She was very scared today. Divyani taps on Shardha’s shoulder and says you came to the temple alone? Or did you come here to meet someone? Let’s see. She looks around and says where is she? Mai is hidden. Shardha says leave my hand. I came here to pray for Balwant’s health. Divyani says let’s go home. Balwant is waiting for you. Mai is worried about Shardha.

Scene 3
Harphoul says the man who has to hit a woman to show his manliness is not a man. Balwant squeezes Shardha’s face and says looks like you don’t want to meet your child. Who did you go to meet at the temple? Divyani says it was a woman. I didn’t see her face but it looks like phoolmati. I brought her here before they could talk. Balwant drags Shardha and says you have no worth. Balwant locks Shardha in a dark room. He says it will remind you of your worth. Shardha screams and cries. She says let me go. Balwant says no one will open this door. Harphoul says I was so wrong about her. Mohini says it’s okay. Mohini says I will get her free from Balwant. Harphoul says I will help her.
