High drama on Arjun this weekend

A sneak peek into this weekend’s episodes on Arjun

Arjun will be offering you episodes of high drama this weekend. This Saturday on the show a mother takes her own life after giving her daughter an overdose of sleeping pills. The daughter fortunately survives this but slips into coma. While ETF is investigating the case they discover hidden cash amounting to Rs 2.5 crores. A thoroughly baffled Arjun wonders whether the lady was embroiled in a robbery or if the money for some reason triggered her suicide.

On Sunday’s episode a man enters a bank with a cheque asking for cash. The bank manager and the man get embroiled in a fight. The furious man holds the bank hostage confiscating the gun from the security guard. On the arrival of the ETF, the man commits suicide by shooting himself. The ETF contacts his wife who naturally breaks down. However the wife later discovers that the man isn’t after all her husband. It puzzles the ETF that the dead man is not who he was pretending to be.

It will be interesting to watch how Arjun will be solving these baffling crimes both of which involve suicide. Shaleen Malhotra who plays Arjun says, “Both these episodes have a very different tangent story and are high in emotional intensity. The sleeping pill episode has action sequences too.”

Some viewers have felt that Arjun is similar to CID. What is Shaleen’s take on that? He replies, “Arjun is different from CID though both are thrillers. On our show we show inter-personal relationships and all the characters have a back story.” Regarding the target age group of his show Shaleen says, “Our show has a universal audience which includes all age groups. There is after all no gore. Our episodes come with a social message.”
