“I am full of life”: Adaa Khan

We in conversation with Adaa Khan…

How do you define acting?
Acting is a passion for me. It is something that you are actually not and you portray the emotions so well that it doesn’t appear to be acting.

Out of all the roles which you have played till date, which is the one which you liked the most?
For me, my role in the daily soap ‘Behenein’, where I played the character of Aakashi was the one which I liked the most. Apart from that the role of Amrit which I play in Life OK’s daily soap Amrit Manthan is close to me. I believe it is a very unique one especially for a lead actress and i thoroughly enjoy playing Amrit.

Which role do you aspire to play in future and why?
I would like to play the role of ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’. It is a very strong character and playing her role would be a dream come true for me because since childhood I have only read about it. Getting the opportunity to essay the role would be wonderful.

Any ongoing show that you would want to be a part of and why?
I definitely would want to be a contestant on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, because I will get the chance of meeting Amitabh ji. Apart from that the show has a very good concept too. If I had to select from daily soaps then it would surely be Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, as I have many friends there and it would be glad to work with them.

Adaa Khan in a few words?
Full of Life, love and also a mumma’s girl(smiles).

The day which made you immensely proud of yourself?
When my mother feels proud of myself, that is the day I feel proud of myself.

How did actin happen to you?
Acting was a sudden decision. It wasn’t planned but it happened by-mistake. I got an offer for acting and I grabbed the opportunity immediately. I never thought I would come into this field. It was Luck by Chance types.

If you were not an actor you would be?
I really wanted to be a News reporter (smiles).

The person who inspires you?
My mother inspires me in life. She is the only person I look up to always. As I said earlier acting happened by chance, so there was no one to inspire me in the field.

A quote you follow in life and why?
Forgive and Forget. Live and Let Live. This is the only way of life…
