We in talks with Disha Parmar…

The cute and bubbly Disha Parmar a.k.a Pankhuri of the Star Plus’ daily soap ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai…Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, in conversation with us…

Let’s have a look at what has she to say…

Tell us about your journey in this industry.
I am from Delhi. I was working in an AD agency in Delhi named ‘Elite Modelling Agency’. Through this agency I came to Mumbai for the audition of ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Har…Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’, and that marked my entry into the world of acting.

How do you feel being a part of this show?
The feeling is amazing. I am lucky to be a part of this show as the lead actress. When everyone around me acknowledge and appreciate the fact that at such a young age I got a good daily soap to act in, it makes me as well as my family feel very proud.

Are there any similarities between the reel and real you?
Yes I am simple and believing in God just like my character. But I would definitely say that I am not all mature like Pankuri because I am just 17years old(laughs).

How do you feel working with the co-stars and the production house of this daily soap?
It is really good working with the co-stars and the production house. Everyone is very helpful and supportive. I am very happy to work with ‘Shaktiman’ (smiles). Blessed to have a good working environment.

Television industry to you is?
A place where people come in to explore their acting skills and showcase it through these soaps.

The type of role you wish to play in future?
I am open to playing all kinds of roles. I want to try new things and keep learning in the process. I am too young in the industry so want to grab all the opportunities that come my way.

The day which made you proud of yourself?
When I got the first break in the television industry, that is my current show ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai…Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’. It made me extremely proud of myself.

How do you manage studies and acting?
I have completed my 12th standard and will pursue further studies too. Currently I am shooting for my daily soap.

If you wouldn’t be an actor then which field would you choose to go in?
I would certainly make an entry into the field of acting regardless because I love this art. I would have kept trying. I am lucky that my dream has finally come true.

A quote you follow in life?
Be happy because that is what matters. Do good, be good and always be happy (smiles).
