Tell us something about your character?
I play the character of Lajjo, who is from a village and a simple girl having ambitions and dreams which she has to fulfill. But circumstances lead her to marry Nikhil played by Vibhav Roy, and that’s how the journey unfolds. However, after Nikhil and Lajjo get married, there is no love and animosity between the married couple, as they both share a deep rooted friendship with each other. The interesting part for the viewers is to watch the beautiful bond of friendship and mutual admiration among the two.

What made you take up this role?
When I was narrated this script I loved the script. I play the lead but not the usual one who is well dressed, speaks fluent Hindi language and struggling in her life to achieve goals. This girl Lajjo is like any other village girl who has her own life and also speaks in a very rural and rustic manner. As Lajjo, I am portraying a very realistic and down to earth character which every girl would relate to it.

You speak in a typical diction language, how did you mange to do that?
Yes true, I am speaking in a very local lingo that is Bihari for this show. I spoke in Allahabadi accent for Mann Ki Awaaz Paratigya but over there the scenario was different as there were many people who were aware of the language and it was easy for me to pick up, but in Gustakh Dil I have a tutor on the sets who regularly guides me and I had to put in lot of efforts to get the proper accent..

Brief us something about what is Lajjo ki diary all about?
The diary is written by Lajjo herself who pens down her day to day events and shares her feelings. It’s written by the channel people, and I also write it because I have adapted the character in and out as I am well versed with the character of Lajjo. It’s basically for the audience who would love to know about the character Lajjo in depth…

Had Sana been in a similar situation like Lajjo what would be your take?
To be honest, I wouldn’t like to portray a character of the other women. Lajjo’s circumstances were very different in which she had to marry Nikhil.

How is Vibhav Roy as a co-star?
Vibhav is a new comer and a very talented person. He doesn’t even use glycerin for the scenes which are to be enacted, he is very professional guy.

How is the overall bonding on the sets?
We are a bunch of young team members and we enjoy a lot, which will also be shown in the episodes of Gustakh Dil.

How will you juggle between Radio and Television?
For me radio is my life and breath. I will manage my shoot timings and will record at late hours. Radio is my passion and I just can’t forget it. For me its rejuvenating experience.

Any message you would convey to the fans?
I would want to appeal to all my fans to watch the show Gustakh Dil. It’s a very youth based show and people will understand all the characters very well.
