Kumkum Bhagya 8th September 2014 Written Episode
The episode starts with Abhi blaming Pragya for helping Purab to elope from the marriage altar and for keeping quiet after knowing everything. He breaks the relations with her and says we can have only one relation ie, hatred. I will do that so that your family will see you crying all your life. Aaliya asks him to end her chapter and says she might ask money from us. Tanu says, we shall permanently get her out of our life. She did three mistakes and should get rigorous punishment. Aaliya gets angry and says she will kill him. Abhi calms her down and says he will bring her truth out of her entire family. When her family start hating her then she will commit suicide. I will tell Dadi about the truth. Tanu says, this is the right punishment for her. Pragya looks down in shock.
Bulbul asks Purab to call Abhi and enquire about Pragya. She gets worried for her. Purab says, you know naa how he was behaving. Bulbul insists so he calls Abhi. Abhi picks the call and asks him how dare he call him. He asks him not to show his face or call him and disconnects the call.
Pragya tells Tanu that you changed colour so steadily. Tanu says, I was helpless and it doesn’t matter to me whatever you thinks about me. What matters to me is Abhi. If I have tell the truth to Abhi and Aaliya then he would have kept you at home. Pragya says, I can’t understand your love. It is just for showing the world. Tanu says, she loves him truly and everything is fair in love and war. Pragya says, she feels pity on Abhi for loving a greedy and selfish girl.
Abhi calls for Dadi and asks for servant. He says, he saw her going to the guest room. Abhi recalls his moments with Pragya. He goes to Dadi and sees Dadi’s sister refusing to eat medicine. Abhi tells her that he went to her room and wants to talk to her. Dadi says, she will come after making her take the medicines.
Aaliya comes to Tanu and says I am seeing since when you have started hiding things from me. She asks about the letter. Tanu says sorry for hiding the truth and says she feared that she develops soft corner for her. Aaliya says, she will hate her always and she will remain a behenji for her. She says, Bhai would have get angry on you if he gets the letter. She asks her to inform her if any such things happen.
Sarla talks to beeji and says Pragya is behaving irresponsible like Bulbul. Beeji asks her to call Pragya and put it on speaker. Sarla calls on Pragya’s number. Aaliya and Tanu get her phone. Aaliya asks Tanu to give good news to Sarla about Pragya leaving the house. Tanu picks the call and tells Sarla that Pragya will be with her for forever. Sarla asks what do you mean? Tanu says, you are innocent and your daughters are very clever. Sarla asks her to say straight. Tanu tells her that bulbul loves Purab and Pragya helped them. I don’t think that abhi will forgive your daughter. Sarla gets tensed. She tells Beeji that how can this happen. Beeji says, we will enquire what is the thing. Sarla says, Bulbul didn’t call me and asks her to call her friend. Beeji calls her friend who says Bulbul went somewhere. Sarla cries and wonders why Bulbul did this. Beeji asks her not to worry. Sarla cries miserably. Beeji tries to calm her.
Purab brings food for Bulbul and asks her to eat. Bulbul refuses. Purab says, you will realize that my decision is right. Bulbul says, I won’t forgive you if anything wrong happens to my family.
Abhi is pushing Pragya to leave the house. Pragya asks Dadi to stop him. Abhi blames Pragya for hiding the truth about Purab loving bulbul. Everyone get shocked. He blames her for provoking Purab to leave the marriage altar. Abhi says, he can’t tolerate her at home now. Dadi asks, is this true? Pragya says it is right but. Abhi pushes her on the ground. Pragya asks Dadi to stop him.
Abhi says, your family will hate you. Pragya tells Dadi that she didn’t help Purab and she thinks of this house betterment first. Aaliya asks her to shut up and says you didn’t think about my Dadi. She reminds her of her middle class status and blames her. She asks Abhi to kick her out. Pragya asks, where will I go? Aaliya says, go anywhere but not come here. It is shown as Sarla’s dream. Sarla wakes up taking Pragya’s name and tells Beeji that she saw a dream. She opines that something bad is going to happen with Pragya. Beeji says, it won’t happen.
She cries and pats her head. She says, I won’t forgive bulbul as she didn’t think about her sister. Beeji tells her that Abhi will support Pragya. Sarla says, she is feeling tensed.
Precap:
Abhi tells Dadi that they are betrayed by her Bahu. Dadi asks, who? Abhi says Pragya.

In the last few episodes, the viewers have witnessed that Purab (Arjit Taneja) has eloped from his marriage and meets Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur). He forces Bulbul to marry him.
While the family members are tensed, Abhi and Aaliya will plan to torture Pragya and insult her.
Our source says, “Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Aaliya (Shikha Singh) will torture Pragya (Sriti Jha) and later Pragya (Sriti Jha) will be asked to leave the house. Whereas on the other hand Sarla will suffer an heart attack and will be in a state of shock.”
“Further Bulbul will marry Suresh (Faisal Rashid) so that Aaliya can settle down with Purab whereas Tanu will get pregnant as she is having an extra marital affair with Abhi. Bulbul will marry Suresh without informing others and hence Purab will also marry Aaliya,” ends our source.

Indian families in general place their unmarried daughters under tremendous pressure to marry. Any guy will fit the bill as long as he’s willing to marry your daughter. Unmarried daughters are a source of shame. Why!!! Why must an unmarried woman feel so pressurised. Why can’t she have a career (as Pragya did), and be content. Some day she will meet the man that was meant for her and she will be content.
Pragya’s life is messed up due to her submission to the demands of society, family (both hers and Abhi’s) and by her own inability to stand up and be counted. Its about time she took her life and happiness into her own hands and said enough is enough. “I am important, I deserve love and respect, I will not allow anyone to treat me as if I were insignificant. As if my feelings, dreams, and everything about me don’t matter. Who are you to plan my life and decide for me. I will take control of my life and decide who I want in it and who I will cast out off it. So don’t go deciding my fate to suit your whims and fancies.”

Every characters appear to act for very own vested interest – be it Abhi, Aaliya, Tanu ,Pragya , Purab or Bulbul. Now, it is only the question of who ranks as first. Everyone takes the cake. The tale is too twisted for words.It is sad that yet another serial is taking all the battering . From reading the various comments posted on this forum, there’s widespread unhappiness about the unfolding of this drama.I join the masses who have disapproved the course of the tale , waiting with a shred of hope that soon all would be sorted out. Am angered, disgusted and disappointed .Whom to blame for this state ? I’m clueless, too .

Tanu & Aliya for being so cheap and low, and over that act like high class,
Pragya for being dumb, just scream out already, give Abhi a good slap if u have to get his attention for goodness sake… Or walk up to Dadi and tell her the entire truth & both urs and bulbul’s sacrifice for these two selfish brats… How Abhi married you & both bro & sis have been torturing you because of the misunderstanding… And tell Dadi, how you were supposed to leave this house anyways & walk out of there with ur head held high…
It’s because of people like Pragya, who in-spite of being in the right, hang their head in shame and try to keep quiet for god knows who’s respect, that bitches like Tanu, Aliya & ABHI (he’s behaving like one) take upper hand and behave like they are god almighty. Deciding her’s & her families fate… I mean who the hell do they think they are? It was Abhi’s stupidity to marry someone just so her sister could marry her obsession, without even clarifying or finding out the truth… Now he is upset he. Married the wrong girl & she needs to leave… Damn it you were going to throw her out anyways… U jerk was the one who ruined Pragya’s life & u’ve got the nerve to accuse Pragya of destroying his sister’s… if you have the right to ruin someone else’s life so that ur freeki, selfish, vamp of a sister can be happy, why the hell can’t Pragya protect her sister’s identity…

Agree with you especially about Pragya ‘s submissive behaviour but don’t totally agree abt Sarla as she comes from her own small world where marriage means everything for a girl . That’s no fault of her but narrow vision about the place of a girl child in the world , which seems to be a disease of out country to a large extent.

September 09, 04:47I agree dvlakshmi, it’s a social disease that doesn’t seem to be going aways no matter how fwd or educated or even how ever far u run… That worry about the upbringing & the ultimate marriage of a girl child will never change… Being a mother of two girls I too worry for my kids specially my girls, but i also thinking me worrying about their future is not going to change whatever destiny has in store for my kids… The best I can do is give them the knowladge of good & bad and an education that will give them their independence if they need it… I always encourage my girls who are barely in their teens, to learn to stand up for themselves no matter who it is, may it be ur friend, partner, sibling or even parent, if u feel u have been wronged, never shy away from expressing it… The more u keep quiet, whoever it maybe, intentionally or unintentionally will take u for granted. And if they dont know what ur feeling, u cant hold them completely responsible for their actions towards you too…
Only you can demand respect & justice for urself, if you don’t no one else is going to hand it to you on a platter… And this lesson only a mother can give her child… As one who would have had her share of experiance…
I’m only saying Sarala can worry as much as she want’s but she cant change a thing if thats what destiny holds for her daughters… On the other hand if she can be strong for herchildren, they can draw the strenght from her to keep fighting for their rights instead of having to worry about what if’s about Sarala…
No one can give the strenght, love & support a child thrives on more than a mother… If that mother becomes a basket case, how will that child have the courage to face the world… That’s all the point I was trying to make… I have nothing personal against Sarla, as she’s a wonderful mum, but her weekness has become the girls downfall.

I am only trying to figure out why Sarla is so despondent in life… Here, Sarla faces a uphill task in raising her two daughters, Pragya and Bulbul . .. I am simply pointing out that the circumstances in life , to a very large extent , shapes the character of a person, here so a woman and a mother.Not all have the inner strength .More so , in Sarla’s case . Sarla is a widow , shouldering a huge responsibility of seeing her two daughters “settled ” in life. She has no support system that she can fall back on, however dependable her brother is .Her financial stability is far from satisfaction . Her sole income generates from a marriage hall , which should take care of all the needs of the family. True, Pragya is working and Bulbul is contributing too. Still, that’s just enough .Though , education cannot be equated to strength of character, here too, she is at a disadvantage.All these , coupled with poor health, has made her a nervous wreck. She is a person who heeds to the voice of the society. So, what do we have ? A Sarla ,who is insecure in life , frightened to face life, and is literally forced to battle it out in life . Does she have the confidence to do so, is my question ? I am empathizing with her situation . However, strong and confident she is, but when confronted with problems of this magnitude, she is sure to crumble down and that’s precisely what is about to happen . Life has not been smooth sailing for her.So, this reaction, I fear !

September 08, 16:04Its just been a couple of weeks since I been on KKB but I gotta say I can see Ekta all over this serial. She has got a trademark. I guess somewhere in her real life she had to forgo her love for a relative cos all her stories twirl around this and frankly as refreshing as KKB seemed her storytelling is skills gets annoying.
CVs here have been toying with viewers and they seem to forget that he who pays the piper calls the tune. We the viewers who watch and give TRps in this case are the ones paying the piper. Yes there is bound to be some intrigue in a story but can Indian soapy writers just push themselves a little and not run in circles around predictable tales then try to pull them incessantly.
Geez! That Sarla dream sequence was so unnecessary it was pitifully obvious writers are buying for time. They been pulling on every new development in the serial e.g. Pragya being drunk for close to a week! The dialogues at the beginning of this episode with Abhi Tanu and Aaliya is the same thing they said to each other last week, writers just did a cut and paste. Abhi is a real promising character but what to do when the writers cant build him up. A man can love his sister, be over exuberant and still have some thinking capacity writers!!
MissU as always you are right the Sarla health scare crap is over-baked now and just unreasonable. I pictured Pragya more grounded than this, she already knew she was going to leave the house whether Purab marries the brat or not so why act as if not marrying her changes something? Doesn’t make sense. Is she just plain selfish or what? Purab needs a new GF asap and he really needs to leave town like someone mentioned. That dude is surrounded by selfish folks and they aint worth his friendship, love and care starting with his so called love interest. How dare she blame Purab for not sacrificing his life for her sister. Duhhhh!!! Who does that!!!
Please let Abhi’s Dadi show some aged wisdom and not take things at face value. She should know how ‘bratty’ and prone to tantrums her grand kids are by now. Or maybe she is too upset with the failed engagement to even think?
All I can say is a couple of months ago some CVs to certain serial wanted to show they could lord it and feed ’em viewers crap, well as we speak they are wrapping it up packing their bags and leaving the channel come the 17th of this month. I know Ekta got power but when TRPs speak Channel MD’s bow! Watch it now KKB. We like you but you gotta watch you back.

The summary about this series is that it’s based on 2 fiesty fiery sisters…where’s the fire?
Ekta always doused these fires with water called love. Perfect example is Pavitra Rishta, anything else related to her stories one misunderstanding can cause a rift of over 10 years and then the reunion. Sometimes I wonder if she’s still hoping for a re-union with her ex-husband.

Between Bulbul and her sister i am confused who is sacrificing what for whom and why. Its twisted and Purab is the one taking the heat.That dude needs to start running far away from these two families, as fast as his legs or car or a train can take him.
Talk about fire amongst these sisters no I don’t see any at all,since I started watching all Bulbul does is cry and look forlorn. While Pragya seems in an unbeknown helplessness.

When this show was to kick off I heard Ekta rejected the script close to five times, its shocking that this is what she finally settled for, the same old crap about sacrifice in love between sisters eeeekkkk!
