Life OK has the confidence in Amrit Manthan that it will find its place at the new time-slot of 7.30

Rajan Shahi, (Director’s Kut) Producer of the popular pot-boiler on Life OK, Amrit Manthan is in an upbeat mood, now that the show is all set to enter into its next phase of story-telling. With the show taking a seven years leap, the plot now thickens with the new inter-personal relationships of the prime characters coming into focus.

And the new challenge for Rajan Shahi is to keep the viewers glued to his show, in the new time slot of 7.30 pm from 18 February (2013).

Talking about the new developments, an excited Rajan Shahi told us, “Amrit Manthan has a flavour of its own and even though it does not have the so-called ‘star value’, every episode is woven with intrigue and the mystery element. The biggest high of this show is that no character can be taken on its face-value; every character is not what he/she looks to be.”

On the slot change from 8.30 pm to 7.30 pm, the Producer went on to say, “We are now pitted against big shows on the other channels. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s show on Star Plus is going to be launched in a big way, we have Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV and Sasural Simar Ka on Colors. Having said this, Life OK is very confident that Amrit Manthan can find a place for its own at the 7.30 pm slot. Also, this slot is relatively new for the channel.”

He went on to regard his lead actress Adaa Khan as an actor who joins the great club of actors with the title role of Amrit. “Adaa’s character is the most intriguing. There has been no show wherein the title character has had shades of grey positivity, envy, jealousy and so on. We have seen various permutations and combinations of vamps in the television industry, but viewers of Amrit Manthan simply love to hate her. We have beautifully balanced this character of Amrit with that of Ankita who has a face that conveys a ‘sisterly bonding’.”

On the track ahead, Rajan said, “We have a big episode in terms of storytelling and investment on Monday (18 February) wherein there will be a masquerade Valentine’s party where Amrit who is devoid of emotions comes face to face with one of Nimrit’s kids. I can tell you that a new side of Amrit will come to the fore from then and it will be an interesting watch.”

Lastly, on the introduction of Deepak Sandhu in the show, Rajan averred, “Deepak Sandhu’s is again a very interesting character. Though I will not want to reveal about his character, I can say that he is a guy who is not what he looks to be. He is the next trump card of the show.”

Here’s wishing the Amrit Manthan team a great journey ahead..
