Love is always revolutionary: Garima Shrivastav

Actress Garima Shrivastav, seen in shows like Gustakh Dil, Chhoti Bahu 2 and many others is now busy with her latest venture on Colors, Ishq Ka Rang Safed (Film Farm).

And this time the lady is seen donning the role of a widow, Dulari, with a young daughter.

Speaking about her character, Garima commented, “I am essaying the character of a widow, whose daughter had also met the same fate. And the way our society has been treating such unfortunate women, I am a bit possessive and careful about my daughter. Since many rituals have been bestowed upon widows in the society, I make sure that my daughter adhere to all those, even after feeling deeply pained upon seeing my daughter’s condition”.

We also quizzed her about the reason for selecting such show and the lady shared, “Though we don’t realize many women are still tortured in our country, we have to accept that the issues have not yet ended. And unfortunately we are socially unaware and we need to enlighten others. I am happy that an initiative of making a change has been taken and I am a part of this process”.

Do you think that love story added to a social message will appeal to masses more? “Love has always been revolutionary and has the power to change age old norms. And I believe that anything can easily be achieved through love. So, I think this will definitely be loved by audience”.

As the lady gears up for her role, we wish her all the best.
