Scene 1
The arti plate falls. Shanti says this is a bad omen. Mangal says it happens. Why didn’t Lakshmi and Lippika come back from the salon? Shanti says why did you send her to the salon with so much money? She will look like what she does anyway. She will never look like Lippika. Mangal calls Lakshmi. Lakshmi says I am ready. Mangal says I am ready. Lakshmi leaves the salon.

Scene 2
The event starts. Mangal welcomes everyone. Gayatri says you decorated the house so well. Kusum says Adit never questioned how much money would she spend. he just gave her the money. Mangal says yes he never questions me but I did everything with my savings today. Kusum says well done. That’s how a good DIL is. She saves. mangal says come sit, please. Mangal serves everyone’s juices.

Lakshmi gets ready. Mangal says you look so pretty. You will get engaged today. She gets emotional. Mangal says Rohan and his family are gonna be here soon. Adit comes home. He asks Mangal if the guy’s family come yet. She says yes, they will come. He said mahurat was at 4 I rushed him thinking I was late and they were not even there. Did you talk to them? Mangal cries. Karthik sees off all the guests.

Adit says this is what I was scared of I knew this relation wont happen. there has to be a problem. Mangal has to plan things without investigating or planning. Kusum says how knew they’d do this? they came with a proposal themselves. They knew Gayatri as well. Adit says they realized, the guy is educated why would he marry this 10th-pass girl? Everyoen is shocked. Adit says I already knew he would back out. Kusum says what are you saying. He says not everyone wants to get stuck like me. Who would ruin his life for such an uneducated girl? Mangal says we were honest with them adn they said yes. She’s teary. Mangal says Lakshmi and Rohan talked to each other. Kusum says yes, they asked us to do roka. What do they want? Dowry? Gayatri says no I don’t think so. Let me ask them.

Gayatri calls Maya. Maya cuts her recall. Kusum says why are they doing this? Mangal asks what did Rohan say? Lakshmi says he said they don’t wanna marry me and they won’t come.
