Pavitra Rishta 18th September 2013 Written Episode
episode begins at the hospital… manav is furious at soham.. archana tries to calm him down.. gauri n every1 else is very tensed.. archana tells varsha that her mistake 20 yrs back has made them pay a heavy price.. varsha cries.. archana tells her, she is not blaming her but feels that they could have given him better values..
gauri’s parents ask her if she knew abt soham’s love.. she says yes, n they ask her if she loves him too.. gauri quickly says she doesnt love him at all, she had considered him a friend but now hates him.. gauri’s parents say she should have told them earlier..
gauri’s mom says if she knew getting gauri married into archana’s family would be so dangerous she never would have gone ahead with it, her father says archana’s family is not to blame but soham only..
the cops come there, manav has lodged a complaint against bisnu lala, manav tells the cops to put him behind bars, they take every1’s statements, manav mentions balan and again gets outraged.. cops tells him to calm down. archana tells the cop abt balan, and they promise to catch the both of them..
the doc comes out of the operation theater n informs them that sachin is fine, purvi asks the doc if sachin could attend the wedding d next day, but doc says not at all he has several stitches n he cant move around..and that he will be shifted to icu.. he tells them to postpone the wedding..
archana apologizes to gauri’s parents n says they are free to break the engagement.. but they say there is no need for that, they are happy that gauri is treated as their daughter n dont mind the delay in the wedding..
cops come to balan’s hide out, balan is underground n the cops dont find them n leave.. balan shows the newspaper to soham n tells him how heartless his parents are, n within 24hrs have lodged a complaint.. soham says he wants gauri.. balan tells him to shutup n stay in hiding for few more days.. but soham keeps shouting he wants gauri..
at the hospital sachin regains consciousness, gauri is at his side holding his hand.. he calls out her name, she is relieved.. sachin tells her to call archana.. archana sees sachin n is very happy n thanks bappa.. sachin asks abt soham.. archana tells him not to mention his name n that he is dead to them.. the doc comes in and archana leaves telling sachin to take rest..
at a tea stall. soham is having tea n recalling what balan said abt his parents.. a guy sits next to him, who seems to knw him n asks him what he has done this time, n that cops were at his shop, soham gets angry n yells at that guy..
back at the hospital.. archana is crying on manav’s shoulders.. gauri is standing at a side n crying, manav consoles her too, d doc comes n says they can meet sachin if they want, n that sachin is asking for gauri.. archana tells gauri to go in, n that sachin needs her..
gauri goes to sachin’s side n holds his hand n cries.. sachin teases her, saying being a doc she is crying.. gauri says she is sorry that all this happened coz of her..
soham is walking absent minded on the streets thinking all that archana told him.. the cops are coming from one end n soham is still lost, balan n his men come on time n take him to a corner, balan tells him he should have been in their hideout n not roaming on the streets.. soham says he would have been married to gauri by now!! balan then tells him sachin has regained consciousness..
soham gets annoyed that sachin is still alive, balan tells him its a good thing or else he would have murder charges on him.. soham asks him if gauri’s family is also there, balan gets angry n tells him to forget all this for the moment n go to patna.. soham says how he is supposed to leave when all this is happening.. but balan insists, gives him a ticket n tells him all arrangements are done, n that patna is a safe place for him now.. he tells soham to be careful coz his photo is in the papers n cops after him, a angry soham ties a shawl around his face n goes..
at the hospital, savita n teju come.. archana cries that this is all her fault n she should have taught her son better, savita is also crying but consoles her saying sachin is strong n will recover fast.. teju holds savita.
PRECAP: archana at the hospital, tells manav how many more problems will they have to face, she says at one end is sachin n other soham, both her sons and its such a difficult situation for a mother.

September 19, 05:58PR has been running for a long time, 1000 plus episodes is incredible. The writers are either bored with this drama or they’ve dried out their well of ideas. They are repurposing old ideas eg Ovi/Arjun/Purvi and Soham/Gauri/Sachin. They need to get new writers to collaborate with and get a new perspective. The show still has a lot to offer, it has a talented cast, just poor scripts. There’s still hope for Soham to reform and the family to realise their shortcomings and work together to be a better family.
Getting married doesn’t make Sachin the lead. It just gives him his time in the spotlight as he is an integral member of the D family. Soham has to accept that he is wrong and his actions are going to hurt him and his family. If he really loves Gauri he’ll let her be happy and marry whom she wants to.
Manav’s behaviour now is due to his head injury (has was explained by Archana) and he also doesn’t want Soham to be in contact with Balan who is a very bad influence on Soham. Comparing his behaviour with Ovi and now Soham wouldn’t be right. Ovi is a spoilt rich brat who he brought up and Soham, until recently, led a life of crime, 2 very different circumstances.
Sincerely hope the creative team rethink this unhappy path they’ve chosen to explore. Enough crying and bad vibes. Bring in more happiness and fun times.

September 19, 11:08I disagree Archana is a poor excuse of a mother. You say only a mother knows. How come she didn’t know when she allowed ManV And Savita to her two babies away from her, a good mother would have fought tooth and nail for her kids.
When she finally had the opportunity to be around her kids she again was about do the same for Sachin happiness. Both Manav and Archana gave more importance to Sachin than their other kids. She is the worst mother I have ever seen.

September 18, 14:26For once they should add positive things instead of always focusing on the negatives. But yes there must be some negativity to build up suspense etc. but for a change how about doing it differently now.

September 18, 14:45@ Mahi : That’s right. For once the show should bring in some positives. It would be a right time to show siblings’ bonding. For starters Ovi should initiate a dialogue with Soham and make him realize that one sided love is never successful and she is the biggest example of the same. And then Teju should brighten the bond with her vivacity and also should take the responsibility to educate him. Purvi should focus on her married life and Sachin should take the first step to reduce the distance between brothers as he is the eldest of them all. If only CVs had brains the story has so much potential…

September 18, 13:45Isnt it strange that when Ovi forced Arjun to marry her Manav didnt behave like a maniac….yet Soham is wrong to marry Gauri when she doesnt love him…come on PR be consistent. What was GOOD FOR OVI should be GOOD for Soham….clearly bad parenting cos they favour the kids that do wrong….but when a baddie does something hes a goon…OVI is a GOON too!!!!

I totally agree wit your take on Archana letting others dictate er life too much, making Purvi her shadow, Manav being totally insensitive to Soham and never making sincere efforts to bond with Soham as he bonded with Sachin. And I also agree that DK is a good father to Arjun.
I have talked much about pathetic parenting skills in PR since yesterday and on that note I feel that another bad thing about parents (Manav, Archana and DK as well) in PR is that they are not perceptive but presumptuous and blind.
I remember that episode in which Arjun is confused and restless on realizing his feeling for Purvi. DK realizes that his son is in love but ends up presuming that this new found feeling is for Ovi and even relays it to her accordingly. It doesn’t come him to perceive that his son is happy around Purvi, he had changed because of Purvi and his son who was initially in India for 15 days is now not showing any inclination to go back and hence he must have felt for Purvi and not Ovi. So, I kind feel that DK took the first step in rolling the ball of Arjun-Purvi -Ovi fiasco.
The same goes for Archana. When Soham gomes to her with the proposal of bringing bahu to home, she fails to perceive that Soham is talking about himself. She even forgets how happy Soham is around Gauri. She promptly presumes that since she is a doctor and Sachin a lawyer, it would be a good match.
Gimme a break…in today’s world parents do communicate with their children and are not as dense as they are shown in PR.
P.S : Please join the PR production house MU. That will assure a good story line and good viewing as well.

The creative team of PR have a few screws loose and have lost focus on what constitutes good drama and what will draw the audience.
Poor Soham has had a lifetime of violence and “take what doesn’t belong to you” instilled in him by Balan his “father”. Now he’s with his real family and they have not managed to inculcate good values and behaviour in him, through lack of dedication or sheer ignorance to the task at hand.
Soham sees someone he wants but can’t have. His “father” Balan says you can have her but his real parents say no you can’t she’s not for you. What he’s learned and lived most of his life comes to the fore and he believes that Gauri is his for the taking. There’s no doubt that Soham was wrong and should be chastised for what he’s done.
Just hope that he comes to his senses real soon, sits down somewhere and takes stock of what he is doing. The goodness that is deep within Soham must win the battle of wills and he must repent for his behaviour and be welcomed back into the family fold where everyone has realised their shortcomings and strive to work harder at being a better family.

September 18, 12:25Hi MU.. Oh yeah whatever u said is absolutely right. They just brought Bishnu Lala home but didn’t put in adequate efforts to transform him into Soham Deshmukh again. A classic case of gross parenting. Another thing that baffles me about the whole parenting thing in PR is do parents need to disown one child or even sever all the ties with him/her so as not to hurt another child? And I thought and read all the while that parents especially mothers are equally fair and impartial towards their children.

she always sacrifice for the wrong people eg savita sachin and the list goes on. Ovi too…accepted her BS of marriage with Arjun & encouraged the idiot to be a good wife while purvi suffered then slapped purvi? Well purvi is sacrificing the way you taught her to

Is it a bad story line backed up by inadequate attention to details or is it simply a bad execution of a good script? As for having Gauri and Soham having feelings for each other…yeah I agree that was what was shown in previous episodes, especially the one in which they are stranded in jungle. But it is PR -lack of semblance with past episodes and inconsistencies are an integral part of this show. Of late I have realized that I should watch or read the written updates of this show without putting on my thinking cap.

They admitted it themselves that Sachin Gauri’s story had caught a decent eyeball and TRP was on a constant rise..slowly but steadily. And lo behold- the story is messed and talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.
