WHAT A MOTHER TOLD HER SON A DAY BEFORE HIS WEDDING!

Mummy’s boy, you are now a man. Tomorrow you will have a new mother, a new cook and a new person to share all your secrets with. It will no longer be me but her. Love your new mum even more than you love me. Before you walk into her arms forever, let me give you some words to guide you.

There was a day I was arguing with your father. We were screaming, tempers were high. I was angry and he was angry. Then I called him an idiot! He was shocked. He looked at me asking how dare I call him that? Immediately,I started calling him idiot, fool, stupid, crazy, I called him all sorts of names. Guess what he did? He didn’t raise his hands to hit me. He just walked away, banging the door as he went out.

My Son, if your father had hit me and damaged my face, how would you feel sitting here with me today? How would you regard him as your father? Would you have been proud of him or would you be blaming me for calling him names? Never hit your wife! No matter the provocation; just walk away and things will be normal. Whenever she offends you, think of this story I just told you, it could have been your mum!

Before I forget, after he left, I was filled with guilt. We slept on same bed that night and I went to him the next day. I pleaded with him, I did all I could to show am sorry and he forgave me. That day I cooked his favourite food, yes you know he loves pounded yam and Vegetable soup right? After that day, I never called him names, my respect for him was ten times stronger.

There is something very important you must always do, my son listen very carefully, defend your wife. When she is under pressure, stand by her. If your friends hate her, it is your duty to make them see her as a Queen. Your uncle, I mean Uncle Samuel, never liked me. But your father was always supportive until his perception changed and he continued to support me.
There was a day your father was going to host his boss and friends. They were three. That day I was in the kitchen cooking for them and your father went to buy drinks. When the table was set and food was served, everyone started eating. Then I remembered I did not add salt in the food. I was embarrassed.
Your father tasted the food and looked at me. He immediately turned to the guests. He told them that he instructed his wife last month not to add salt whenever she is cooking because of some problem with his body. He said it in a funny way and everyone laughed! The guests understood and he asked me to bring salt and everyone added according to their taste. He managed to eat the food without salt. After the guests left, he went on his knees and asked God to forgive him for lying.
Your wife is like a baby, sometimes she doesn’t know what to say or do. Stand up and speak for her!

Now let me talk to you about sex. You see, sex is a wonderful thing. Do not be surprised if your wife enjoys and needs sex more than you do. There were days, I needed sex more than your father did and there were days he needed it more than I did but the important thing is to always try to satisfy the other when they need arises. Don’t always think of yourself.

There was a time things were hard and I needed to do two jobs to support your father. One night, I was so tired. When I got to bed he was in the mood. He tried to make love to me and I didn’t refuse him. I was tired but I felt I needed to be there when he needs me. When he tried undressing me, he saw my look and he stopped. He asked what was wrong and I said nothing. But he understands me better. He stopped and then started telling me stories until I fell asleep.

My son, sex is best enjoyed when the two parties are physically and mentally ready for it. Sometimes, read your wife and understand her.
Make it a habit to go everywhere with your wife. Beside your job, move around with her. If anyone invites you to his house and tells you not to come with your wife then be very careful. Use wisdom.
I know you love mummy… I know you tell me all your problems. But now things will be different.
Let your wife be the first to know before me. Let her be the first to see before me.
When you have problems with her don’t run to me immediately. Wait for a day or two days to pass and then talk to her about it. Pray about it. Report her to nobody but talk issues out within yourself.
Finally, don’t forget to come and visit me with your wife every month!
I know you will have a happy home. You will always be mummy’s boy. God will bless your home. Pls don’t forget God, pray and seek His assistance always….

I just read that on line, good advice

There was a shooting in Marabella recently, we’ll it was my neighbor, drug people, robbery with violence and the list goes on and on, but as usual the family saying he is a good boy, we’ll tomorrow is funeral hopefully, and every night is noise, drumming, and loud singing and some kinda African ritual, with drums and a native African singing, all hours of the night, one night was every hr till 130am, last might was beautiful gospel at one time followed by vulgar dance hall type songs, lots of drug using and cussing and dancing, vulgar behavior, and on top of all that noise my children can’t get a good night’s sleep, n my son writing exam, we’ll he’s finished now, hubby has to get up early, working mayaro, and he can’t get any sleep too,
It’s the first time I am experiencing this type of culture, or religion whatever it is, and to top it all off, these are the children who now attend St Gabriel girls, oh my word, that school has gone to the bottom of it all

Hi to all you lovely ladies ? !!!
Kris , I feel so much sympathy for you ? . I can’t imagine what your family goes through with those neighbours from hell . I get so annoyed when the bar, close to us , has events . I feel like going over and strangling them ; you have to bear that crap regularly ? . I admire your ability to not lose your mind .
It is so difficult to remain optimistic sometimes . It’s like we are always being bombarded by inconsiderate people . We have deal with them every where and everyday .
Amaica dear , I always remember you and try to be like you , because you are so patient and kind to some very undeserving people sometimes . I don’t know how you keep on keeping on . You are one strong woman . I always have to try hard to not become just like some idiots out there , who try my patience. I think all they want is to make me lose my calm and that will reward their stupidity .
You are both inspirations to me and I love you both dearly ????? .

I was jogging this morning and I noticed a person about 1/2 a kilometre ahead. I could tell he was running a little slower than me and I thought, good, I shall try to catch him. I had about a kilometre before I needed to turn off. So I started running faster and faster.

Every block, I was gaining on him just a little bit. After just a few minutes I was only about 100 metres behind him, so I really picked up the pace and pushed myself. You would have thought I was running in the last leg of an Olympic competition. I was determined to catch him.

Finally, I did it! I caught and passed him. On the inside, I felt so good. “I beat him” Of course, he didn’t even know we were racing. After I passed him, I realized I had been so focused on competing against him that I had missed my turn. I had gone nearly six blocks past my turn and I had to turn and go back.

Isn’t that what happens in life when we focus on competing with co-workers, neighbors, friends, family, trying to outdo them or trying to prove that we are more successful or more important?

We spend our time and energy running after them and we miss out on our own paths to our given destinies. The problem with unhealthy competition is that it’s a never ending cycle.

There will always be somebody ahead of you, someone with a better job, nicer car, more money in the bank, more education, a prettier wife, a more handsome husband, better behaved children, etc. But realize that “You can be the best that you can be, when you are not competing with anyone.”

Some people are insecure because they pay too much attention to what others are, where others are going, wearing and driving. Take whatever you have, the height, weight and personality. Dress well and wear it proudly, you’ll be blessed by it. Stay focused and live a healthy life. There is no competition in Destiny.

Run your own race and wish others well.

Here is a vivid example of changing focus…

He woke up in the morning and found her praying. He heard her praying for him. He stared at her. It has been a long time since he has seen her praying.
For the past few months, they have been arguing. Last night, they had a nasty fight.

He went downstairs in a hurry to prepare himself breakfast. These past days, she hasn’t been cooking for him.
Shock on him. He found breakfast already set at the table. He ate.
He went back to the bedroom, to prepare for a shower.

She left the shower. “Good morning. Have a blessed day” she said as she entered the bedroom and he left for the bathroom.

After his shower, all dressed up for work; he found his wife at the kitchen, eating breakfast in peace. She was looking at some funny videos on her phone and giggling.

He looked at her then walked out the door. The last look he had of her before he left was of her at peace.
    That last look disturbed him.

This is not how she should be. This is not how she has been. He has been hurting her, she has recently found out that he has been flirting with other women, he has cheated once and used money meant for their family on other women. She should be angry.

    Her peaceful demeanour disturbed him.
Evening came. He went home and met his peaceful wife again. She was cooking and laughing with their children. She had come from work two hours ago.
The dinner was enjoyable. Good food, she having warm conversations with the children. He as the father felt left out. His wife and children seemed to be having fun despite him hurting them.

After dinner, as she washed the dishes and the children had gone to bed. He approached her.

“Are you OK?” he asked her.
“I am more than OK. I am blessed” she answered.
“Are you not mad at me? After all that I am doing and have done wrong?” he asked.

She placed the washed plate in the rack then looked at him and said , “I asked myself, what is the most important relationship in my life? The one I have with you or the one with God? And I realized it is the one with God. I live for God, not for you. Marrying you was a blessing but it is not all there is in life. God has blessed me with life and I will not waste it crying because of the hurt you cause me to feel”

She picked up a dirty glass and began washing it. “I realized I had given you too much power. Yes, you are my husband, the closest human being in my life and the human being I love the most; but you are not God.

You have failed me but God never fails me. I will not let you ruin my joy, my peace and my progress. You break our marriage if you want to, but I will hold on to God. And as I hold on to God, I will be full of joy despite what you do” She said rinsing the glass.

She looked at him and continued, “When you hurt me and disrespected me, I realized I was acting out like a woman who has no Jesus. I got mad and hurled insults, I wanted to revenge and I allowed you to mess me day after day.

My performance at work went down, I talked less to our children, I became bitter to the children, I felt sorry for myself, I developed ulcers. And then I realized, I have God, I shouldn’t act like someone with no relationship with God. Why should I be hopeless yet God is with me? I had focused so much on you that I forgot about God.

When you found me, I had God. We dated and got married and I let everything be about you because I wanted to make our marriage work. Our marriage became the idol I worship instead of the blessing I have in God.

Our marriage is failing apart because of you but my relationship with God is still intact” She scrubbed the sufuria.
“You have chosen to abandon our marriage but that doesn’t mean my whole world has collapsed. I will still continue being a good mother to our children.

They will never say the problems between mom and dad made mom a monster. You do as you please with other women, I will raise our children”
She looked at him and told him, “Do I hate you? No, it will be a lie to say I hate you. You are the man I married, the one I vowed to, the one I love”
Tears fell down her cheeks. She wiped them.

“I can’t just cancel all the years we’ve been together. The Bible asks us to love our enemies. If I am able to love my enemies, surely I can still love you despite all you have done. I am angry and disappointed, but I have taken my power back. I live for God who has exceedingly blessed me, not for you and the pain you cause”

She wiped her wet hands, took the apron from her body and told him, “In my peace, I am planning on where the children and I will move to. Since you have chosen to have an affair, you have shown clearly that you don’t need us. So we will not make your life uncomfortable by forcing you to live with us. You need to be able to bring the woman you are cheating with to your own house. I am working on something. I came into this house in peace and I will leave in peace. You will not kill my smile and shine”

She walked to the bedroom. Minutes later. He followed her to the bedroom. He found her peacefully asleep.
He nudged her. He woke her up and said, “Please don’t go, don’t move out. I will hurt you no more, I will cheat no more. I am not OK. I want the peace you have. I want to be the kind of husband you are as a wife”

Since that day, he has been a reformed man. No more affairs, hurting her, no flirting with other women, or endless fights. She didn’t move out. She and the children stayed. He submitted to God and learned how to be a good husband.

Love is powerful enough to humble the most proud heart.

Relationship with God is the most powerful one. I think I should share this. To everyone going through one storm or the other. #HoldOnToGod. #HeWillSettleIt

You just want someone to see things through your eyes
To notice the silent tears ; to hear silent cries
    Giving your best without expectation
    Never requiring praise nor admiration
Just needing to be understood . .
That your actions are for the greater good
Like the mother who feels her child’s pain
Acting out of love , not for any gain .
Only those who are like you
Will truly appreciate the things you do
Unfortunately . . people like you

I try to not ever blame the kids , they are products of our society . It’s a vicious cycle and not enough is being done to break it . Recently there were a lot of consultations on reforming the system , hopefully things become better . I can’t see how it can be worse 😐 . ..

Some of the difficult moments in life is giving someone a hug when you need it the most.
Fighting back the tears in your eyes to wipe off someone else’s tears.
Listening to somebody’s grief when you want your pain to be heard.
Being the reason for someone’s smile when your own smile is lost.
To bless someone else while you are going through your own storm.
To be the strong one, you know?
Sometimes you have to accept the fact that certain things will never
go back to how they used to be. Life goes on.

      April 24, 14:06

That’s all you need to remember then . You do what you do with a pure heart .
I always believe that the good we do , seldom returns to us from that same place ; we receive many blessings from other sources , maybe in small doses .
Don’t waste energy nor time thinking about fake people .
It’s hard to do , but instead , try to pray for them .

    • Suni
      April 24, 14:19

You know , there have been times when I have been selfish, when I have hurt people who love me , and I never forget those times , because I try to never repeat it .
I’m grateful though , for people , like you Amaica , who always helped me see the good in this world .
      You give me hope .
That’s why I say , those people need you too , they need to see the good in this world , if they are ever to have a chance of changing .
They need to see good in action , even when faced with negativity.
That’s the only way that things will change . .
So keep on keeping on ❤️ . ..
      Love you . .

      Hi Suni…
What’s new with you girl…School etc… Also your Mom’s anniversary would
have been around the 10 th of April… Should be about three years since!!!
How time flies… I do think about Afresh Mom sometimes…. I hope that she’s doing
      much better health wise…
Also SJ’s executive Mom… Hope we can listen to her melodious Bhajans
      some day soon.
I remember the conversations that you girls used to have about your Moms..
      Such comforting and consoling words
Giving strength and courage to each other… I hope you all are still connected.

      Trin..
. How are you young Mama.. The PV Princess Baby will be a year soon..Princess Charlotte will be one in May… I know that their birthdays are close.
I’m sure you’ll send us pictures of your beautiful baby whenever the time is right.
I often think of you Trin .I hope everything at home and at work is in your favor.
How is your Grand Ma doing .. Must be very hard for her!!

      Kris…
How’s your Mom and RVR recuperating… Last week the field were burnt down in
your Mom area…The morning drive to SF was pressure..The road was dark and smokey.
The smoke made visibility very difficult…Drivers took a chance to go through.

I saw your sis and her kids recently I forgot to mention.. On the same day April 1 st
Thirty of us gathered for dinner at Chinese Dragon to celebrate my BIL birthday..
It was organized by yours truly…We got the conference room.. Buffet Style.
The food was great.. I was allowed to take in the cake… Everyone had a great time.
On the 4 th was OS birthday … again I arranged.. Smaller group… They loved
the food. The ambiance is not the best.. But .
Price food and service you can’t go wrong.

A young blond girl in her late teens, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a “handy woman” and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighbourhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.
    – “Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint the porch. How much will you charge me?”
    Delighted, the girl quickly responded,
    – “How about $50?”
The man agreed and told her that the paint and brushes and everything she would need were in the garage.
The man’s wife, hearing the conversation, said to her husband,
    – “Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the house?”
    – “That’s a bit cynical, isn’t it?” he responded.
    The wife replied,
    – “You’re right. I guess I’m starting to believe all those dumb blond jokes.”
A few hours later the blond came to the door to collect her money.
    – “You’re finished already??” the startled husband asked.
    – “Yes,” the blond replied, “and I even had paint left over so I gave it two coats.”
Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50 and handed it to her along with a $10 tip.
    – “Thank you,” the blond said, “And, by the way, it’s not a Porch, it’s a Lexus.”

      lol, truly dumb,
I came across this show, parking wars, real people, parking authorities etc, the two dumb blonds got ticketed for parking in a no parking/standing zone, they were the perfect real life example of dumbass blonds, they say the sign says no standing so they should not be standing on the side walk, and they just there make fools of themselves on national tv.

Kris…. Remember I once mentioned a Swami Atma Nanda to you all.
I used to have lunch with her once a month at some very interesting

Well Swami’s cremation was today.. she moved on yesterday morning.
A text message was sent yesterday to us through a friend … which KR saw only this afternoon..
Not only Blonds are DA… Husbands too are sometimes.. Your friend WSee. could have called us.
He was present at the home and the cremation today. I introduced him to Swamiji..

Hey, we’ll I got in an accident yesterday, thankfully nothing serious happened to anyone, two children were with me, some silly woman speeding across the M2 hit my van as I was turning from woodland side, hit the edge of the van tray, and she so bold she start getting on so bad with me, I went in my van and locked the door till police came, we’ll we sort out, she still want to know how she wrong that I see her coming and still came out, she failed to stop at the stop sign in the first place.
Then this morning my husband got in a serious accident, got fractured rib whiplash and some other injuries but otherwise OK, thank goodness, now he’s on leave,

There’s a show on one of the other channels called kasam, krutika is the lead, she’s awesome as ever, and sharad Malhotra the male lead, cute as ever,

      Hi Kris…

Accident on the M2 Ring Rd yesterday… As you rightfully said, thank God no
one got injured…. You do meet unreasonable people sometimes… As usual
you handle the situation very well. The police will decide who’s wrong.
RVR also got in accident…that drive to Rio is rough…sorry to hear about the
injuries… Give him the turmeric… Tonight KR aunt was telling us about a
mixture she prepared to relieve pain with turmeric… Aloes… Honey..etc..
Too many things went wrong yesterday… Probably the entire universe was
      in a negative mode…
Strange …I was driving into my garage around mid day yesterday
when the g/ door suddenly swing back and hit the front right
fender of my car..I’ve been doing this drive for ages …
I haven’t mentioned it to anyone until now…They will say I am careless.
I do have to admit that the winds was strong.

Don’t worry everything has a way of working out for the best.
I looked at a couple shows last night..The one with Pari after a couple weeks..
and I had no problems following up . Will check out those that you mentioned.
But honestly I don’t want to get hook on any shows anymore..

Thank Amaica, girl you not careless, things happen, thank goodness nothing serious happen, I was telling some friends that nothing happens by accident… we say we got in an accident, but it was probably predestined to happen, we cannot change it, i say what if i had stayed a little longer at my mother’s home,or if my sis in law didnt have to go clean mandir, i would have stayed longer at my bro place or I should not have made that turn and waited like a dummy till the other driver ran the stop sign, all that, but what has to happen will happen, but we all lived, the vehicles could fix, don’t worry about the gate and your car is not your fault
got to go police station and dr sieunarine now

Very true… I totally agree… No one even noticed.
the dent…My friend will fix it… Thank God it’s not the van.
Everything will work out for you Kris.
Hope your Mom is okay now. .. Also RVR.

My sister is one holidays…but only fixing house since she came.
Changing over the roof in her house..The husband uses a
wheel chair… has been ailing for some time.. Loves a drink still.

I’m trying to get the family together on Sunday… Beach of oourse.
Hope people make the time for family.
Think I’m going to make some hot cross buns.

    Subject: Defective Parrot

A man is browsing in a pet shop and sees a parrot sitting on a little perch. It doesn’t have any feet or legs. The guy says aloud, “Golly, I wonder what happened to this parrot?”

The parrot says, “I was born this way. I’m a defective parrot.”
“Holy crap,” the guy replies. “You actually understood and answered me!”
“I got every word,” says the parrot “I happen to be a highly intelligent, thoroughly educated bird …”
“Oh yeah?” the man asks, “Then answer this — how do you hang onto your perch without any feet?”
“Well,” the parrot says, “this is very embarrassing but since you asked, I wrap my weenie around this wooden bar like a little hook. You can’t see it because of my feathers.”
“Wow,” says the guy. “You really can understand and speak English can’t you?”
“Actually, I speak both Spanish and English, and I can converse with reasonable competence on almost any topic: politics, religion, sports, physics, philosophy. I’m especially good at ornithology. You really ought to buy me. I’d be a great companion.”
The man looks at the $200.00 price tag. “Sorry, but I just can’t afford that.”
“Pssssssst,” says the parrot, “I’m defective, so the truth is, nobody wants me ’cause I don’t have any feet. You can probably get me for $20, just make the guy an offer!”
The man offers $20 and walks out with the parrot.
Weeks go by. The parrot is sensational. He has a great sense of humor, he’s interesting, he’s a great pal, he understands everything, he sympathizes, and he’s insightful. The man is delighted.
One day the man comes home from work and the parrot goes, “Psssssssssssst,” and motions him over with one wing. “I don’t know if I should tell you this or not, but it’s about your wife and the postman.”
“What are you talking about?” asks the man.
“When the postman delivered the mail today, your wife greeted him at the door in a sheer black nightie.”
“WHAT???” the guy says incredulously. “THEN what happened?”
“Well, then the postman came into the house and began petting her all over,” reported the parrot..
“NO!” he exclaims. “And she let him?”
“Yes. Then he continued ……. began to kiss her all over…”
Then the frantic man screams, “THEN WHAT HAPPENED?”
“Damned if I know. I got an …… and fell off my perch!”

Sorry …. I hope this joke was not rude in any way….

  25. The Easter Story – Jesus’ Crucifixion and Resurrection

The Gospel of Mark Chapters14-16 (taken from the New Living Translation of the Bible)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it” (John 3:16-17).

The Last Supper (Mark chapter 14)

So the two disciples went on ahead into the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover supper there.

In the evening Jesus arrived with the twelve disciples. As they were sitting around the table eating, Jesus said,

“The truth is, one of you will betray Me, one of you who is here eating with Me.”

Greatly distressed, one by one they began to ask Him, “I’m not the one, am I?”

    He replied,

“It is one of you twelve, one who is eating with Me now. For I, the Son of Man, must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for My betrayer. Far better for him if he had never been born!”

As they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread and asked God’s blessing on it. Then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying,

“Take it, for this is My body.”

And He took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them,

“This is My blood, poured out for many, sealing the covenant between God and His people. I solemnly declare that I will not drink wine again until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”

Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.

    Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

And they came to an olive grove called Gethsemane, and Jesus said,

“Sit here while I go and pray.”

He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be filled with horror and deep distress. He told them,

“My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

He went on a little farther and fell face down on the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting Him might pass him by.

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for You. Please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will, not Mine.”

Then He returned and found the disciples asleep.

“Simon!” He said to Peter. “Are you asleep? Couldn’t you stay awake and watch with Me even one hour? Keep alert and pray. Otherwise temptation will overpower you. For though the spirit is willing enough, the body is weak.”

Then Jesus left them again and prayed, repeating His pleadings.

Again He returned to them and found them sleeping, for they just couldn’t keep their eyes open. And they didn’t know what to say. When He returned to them the third time, He said,

“Still sleeping? Still resting? Enough! The time has come. I, the Son of Man, am betrayed into the hands of sinners. Up, let’s be going. See, My betrayer is here!”

    Jesus is Betrayed and Arrested

And immediately, as He said this, Judas, one of the twelve disciples, arrived with a mob that was armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent out by the leading priests, the teachers of religious law and the other leaders. Judas had given them a prearranged signal: “You will know which one to arrest when I go over and give Him the kiss of greeting. Then you can take Him away under guard.”

As soon as they arrived, Judas walked up to Jesus. “Teacher!” he exclaimed, and gave Him the kiss. Then the others grabbed Jesus and arrested him. But someone pulled out a sword and slashed off an ear of the high priest’s servant. Jesus asked them,

“Am I some dangerous criminal, that you come armed with swords and clubs to arrest Me? Why didn’t you arrest Me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. But these things are happening to fulfill what the Scriptures say about Me.”

Meanwhile, all His disciples deserted Him and ran away. There was a young man following along behind, clothed only in a linen nightshirt. When the mob tried to grab him, they tore off his clothes, but he escaped and ran away naked.

Jesus is Crucified (Mark chapter 15 )

So Pilate, anxious to please the crowd, released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip then turned Him over to the Roman soldiers to crucify Him. They dressed Him in a purple robe and made a crown of long, sharp thorns and put it on His head. Then they saluted, yelling, “Hail! King of the Jews!” And they beat Him on the head with a stick, spit on Him and dropped to their knees in mock worship. When they were finally tired of mocking Him, they took off the purple robe and put His own clothes on Him again. Then they led Him away to be crucified.

A man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, was coming in from the country just then, and they forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. And they brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha (which means Skull Hill). They offered Him wine drugged with myrrh, but He refused it. Then they nailed Him to the cross. They gambled for His clothes, throwing dice to decide who would get them.

It was nine o’clock in the morning when the crucifixion took place. A signboard was fastened to the cross above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against Him. It read: “The King of the Jews.” Two criminals were crucified with Him, their crosses on either side of His. And the people passing by shouted abuse, shaking their heads in mockery. “Ha! Look at you now!” they yelled at Him. “You can destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days, can you? Well then, save yourself and come down from the cross!”

The leading priests and teachers of religious law also mocked Jesus. “He saved others,” they scoffed, “but He can’t save himself! Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down from the cross so we can see it and believe Him!” Even the two criminals who were being crucified with Jesus ridiculed Him.

    The Death of Jesus

At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. Then, at that time Jesus called out with a loud voice,

“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought He was calling for the prophet Elijah. One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to Him on a stick so he could drink. “Leave Him alone. Let’s see whether Elijah will come and take Him down!” he said.

Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed His last. And the curtain in the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. When the Roman officer who stood facing Him saw how He had died, he exclaimed, “Truly, this was the Son of God!”

Some women were there, watching from a distance, including Mary Magdalene, Mary (the mother of James the younger and of Joseph) and Salome. They had been followers of Jesus and had cared for Him while He was in Galilee. Then they and many other women had come with Him to Jerusalem.

    The Burial of Jesus

This all happened on Friday, the day of preparation, the day before the Sabbath. As evening approached, an honored member of the high council, Joseph from Arimathea (who was waiting for the Kingdom of God to come), gathered his courage and went to Pilate to ask for Jesus’ body. Pilate couldn’t believe that Jesus was already dead, so he called for the Roman military officer in charge and asked him. The officer confirmed the fact, and Pilate told Joseph he could have the body. Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth, and taking Jesus’ body down from the cross, he wrapped it in the cloth and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where Jesus’ body was laid.

The Resurrection – Jesus Is Risen! (Mark chapter 16 )

The next evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary the mother of James went out and purchased burial spices to put on Jesus’ body. Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they came to the tomb. On the way they were discussing who would roll the stone away from the entrance to the tomb. But when they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone – a very large one – had already been rolled aside. So they entered the tomb, and there on the right sat a young man clothed in a white robe. The women were startled, but the angel said, “Do not be so surprised. You are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He has been raised from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body. Now go and give this message to His disciples, including Peter: Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you before He died!” The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, saying nothing to anyone because they were too frightened to talk.

It was early on Sunday morning when Jesus rose from the dead, and the first person who saw Him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom He had cast out seven demons. She went and found the disciples, who were grieving and weeping. But when she told them that Jesus was alive and she had seen Him, they didn’t believe her.

Afterward He appeared to two who were walking from Jerusalem into the country, but they didn’t recognize Him at first because He had changed His appearance. When they realized who He was, they rushed back to tell the others, but no one believed them. Still later He appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their unbelief – their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

    And then He told them,

“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked with them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.

God loves you so much that He send His son Jesus Christ to die for your sins. After His resurrection and ascension into heaven, He sent His Spirit to live in our lives and empower us to live the abundant life. But we must personally ask Him into our lives to be our Lord and Savior. If you are sincere about asking Him into your life, why don’t you pray the suggested prayer below:

(Prayer is talking to God. God knows your heart and is not as concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart.)

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to You and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer today, you have made the most important decision in your life. We would love to hear from you and send you helpful information.

  26. Understanding Islam
    March 14, 20:13 Reply

25 Mind Blowing Facts About Islam.

    1. Islam is an Arabic word that means “peace,” “security,” and “surrender.” Muslim means “one who peacefully surrenders to God.” Anyone from any race could be Muslim; in other words, “Muslim” does not refer to a particular race. The word Islam means ‘submission to God’, and a Muslim is anyone who submits their life to God.

    2. Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, social, political, economical, intellectual, etc.

    3. There are over 1.5 billion Muslims in the world today, which equates to approximately a fifth of the world’s population. So Islam is a truly global faith and not just confined to a particular nation, colour or race.

    4. Islam is the world’s fastest growing religion by the number of conversions every year. The religion began in Arabia, but today 80% of all believers in Islam live outside the Arab world.

    5. The advancements in Europe during the Renaissance were based on ideas brought by Muslims from the Islamic World.

    6. Islam was implemented in Spain for over six hundred years in which it brought peace and stability. Mosques and buildings in Islamic Spain also had some of the most beautiful architectural designs, for example the Alhambra Palace.

    7. Muhammad (pbuh) said “There is no disease that Allah has created, except that he has also created its remedy,” (Sahih Bukhari) This led to Muslims trying to make new discoveries in the field of medicine during the Golden Age of Islam. During this period of time, the Islamic world was very advanced in medicine.
    8. The Golden Ratio of the Earth lines up with Mecca, one of Islam’s holiest cities. The qiblah (direction for prayer) used to be towards Jerusalem before it was changed to Mecca.

    9. Many prophecies contained in the Quran have come true. For example, the Quran prophesised in the beginning of Chapter 30 (The Romans) that the Byzantines will be victorious over the Persians in a coming battle. This came true a few years after these verses were revealed.

    10. Muhammad (pbuh) urged the Muslims to seek knowledge and travel around the world. After his death, from the 8th to 13th century the Islamic World became very advanced in Science, Technology, Medicine, Maths, Astronomy and Art.

    11. Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem are Islam’s three holy cities. One third of the Quran speaks of previous prophets and important figures like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Mary etc.

    12. The Quran is the most memorised book in the world. There are many Muslims who do not speak Arabic as their mother tongue but have memorised the whole Quran. Even children as young as four have memorised the Quran off by heart.

    13. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once said that there were about 124,000 prophets who had been sent by God to various nations and tribes throughout History. However, only 25 of these prophets are mentioned in the Quran by name.

    14. The Quran has not been changed or tampered with since its revelation 1400 years ago. Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers of America had his own personal copy of the Quran which he used to read.

    15. The Quran addresses God with 99 different names or attributes. A few of these names are: The Merciful, the All-Knower, The Provider, The Hidden, The source of Peace, The Near, The First, The Last etc.

    16. The Quran is the most explained book in history with thousands of volumes elucidating its many wonders. Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned 4 times in the Quran by name, and Jesus (pbuh) is mentioned 25 times in the Quran by name.

    17. The Quran is described as a vast ocean of knowledge. Some people collect pebbles and shells from its shores. The scholars and thinkers, like pearl divers, take from it the most advanced philosophy, wisdom and rules of a perfect way of living.

    18. Islam stresses the importance of being kind to ones parents. In fact the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned that “Paradise lies beneath the feet of your mother”. He also said that being kind to ones parents is the second most loved act by God.

    19. The best women in Islam were: Khadija wife of the prophet (pbuh), Fatimah daughter of the prophet (pbuh), Asiya wife of the pharaoh and Mary mother of Jesus (pbuh). In the Quran God says that Mary is the greatest of the women, “And (mention) when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.” (3:42)

    20. The first person to become a Muslim was Muhammad’s wife, Khadija bint Khuwaylid. Islam is based upon five pillars: Testimony of faith, Prayer, Charity, Fasting and Pilgrimage.

    21. The Quran says that God has created Adam like Jesus, “Verily, the likeness of Jesus before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then said to him: Be! and he was. This is the truth from your Lord, so be not of those who doubt.” (3:59-60). Their names appear exactly the same number of times in the Quran.

    22. Islam teaches us to be kind to our neighbours, Muslims and non-Muslims. However, in Islam your neighbour is not just the person who lives next to you, but the people living in a distance of 40 houses in front of you and behind you; left of you and right of you.

    23. The Quran is not considered by Muslims to have been authored by Muhammad (pbuh). It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad, and written into physical form by his companions. Muhammad himself was illiterate.

    24. Islam is the only religion which says that if a man cannot deal justly between multiple wives, he should only marry one. Among the many teachings of Muhammad (pbuh) is his saying, “…the best among you are those who treat their wives well.” (Sahih Bukhari and Tirmidhi)

    25. A traditional Punjabi Muslim wedding has ‘Hindu’ rituals from A to Z. Entire clans puzzled colonial-era officials as to whether they were Hindus or Muslims.

  27. At Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons on Wednesday 10 February, two days after Yazidi survivor Nadia Murad shared with British parliamentarians her experience of mass atrocities, torture, rape and sex slavery at the hands of Daesh / ISIS, David Cameron publicly acknowledged her bravery.

Responding to a question from Robert Jenrick MP – Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Genocide Prevention, the secretariat for which is provided by the Aegis Trust – he added, “we must do everything we can to defeat Daesh and its violent ideology.”

Nadia Murad – who in December 2015 addressed the United Nations Security Council about her experiences and about the plight of the thousands of Yazidi women and girls remaining in ISIS hands – was in the public gallery to hear the Prime Minister’s remarks.

Later the same day, Nadia shared her heart-rending story on camera with the Aegis Trust. She was honoured by Cameron’s recognition, she said, but expressed her concern that the Yazidi people, especially those still in captivity, have yet to receive the international protection they need.

“I don’t have much information about politics, but there are things It want from all the world and all governments, and from all humans who will hear my voice,” said the Nobel Peace Prize nominee. “Take a stand for conscience and humanity, to cut off these things happening to us today, so it will not happen to other children, women and girls … and eradicate this terrorism from the World.”

You can view Nadia’s story here, including the exchange during Prime Minister’s Questions, and her response. A translation of Nadia’s account follows.

For more information about the plight of the Yazidi and other minorities in Iraq, read “Our Generation is Gone”, the excellent November 2015 report by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

    NADIA’S STORY

“My name is Nadia Murad. I’m from Sinjar, from the village of Kocho in Iraq. Although we were Yazidis, I loved all the faiths.

“All my life, I see my family in the same village, in Kocho. Brothers, sisters, nephews, mother, all in one house. The Yazidis there were living a simple life but a beautiful life, and we were satisfied.

“On August 3rd [2014], I was still in the village when Daesh attacked the Yazidi in Sinjar. As people were escaping to the mountain, 3,000 Yazidis – men and children – were killed on that day. Those who couldn’t leave, such as disabled people, [Daesh] killed them in their villages.
“We didn’t have time to escape to the mountain. When they besieged us, they surrounded the village, so we couldn’t escape. Men in the village were telephoning, they were asking for help so that we could escape from the village. But we didn’t get help from any side.

“The amir [of Daesh] came and spoke to the head of our village: “You have three days to convert or we will kill all of you.”

“Daesh, hundreds entered our village and gathered all of us inside the school. The goal of Daesh in coming, they told us when they came: “We want to wipe the Yazidi from the face of the Earth.”

“They took our possessions; took our mobiles, took our IDs. They took our jewellery, Including our earrings. Then they separated and took out the men. My brothers were taken with the men. They were killing them, and we women and girls were seeing them through the windows.

“They took us to Solagh. In Solagh, again they separated us – into unmarried girls, boys, unmarried women, elderly women. They separated 80 elderly women from us and they killed them in Solagh. And my mother was among them. The boys, they took them to their training sites.

“We were 150 girls, aged 9 to 25 or 26. They took us away in buses that night. They took us to Mosul, to one of their centres where there were hundreds of girls.

“They didn’t kill us because they wanted to rape us. I tried to escape from the first man, but before I could get through the window he caught me. Anyone could rape us … they were selling us and renting us.

“We never expected to be able to escape because there was Daesh wherever we looked. But I escaped with the help of a family in Mosul. That family, honestly I didn’t expect that there was anyone who would help us.Nobody helped us until that day.

“Of course it’s a big thing, and I’m honoured today; David Cameron in parliament mentioned my name and my community. He said the Yazidi have been persecuted greatly.

“[Yet] nothing is done for us… we can’t bear this anymore. I want serious action, not just words, and I want international protection to be provided to us. Rescue our girls and women, and recognize what happened to the Yazidi as a genocide.

“Thousands are missing, and 20, 27 mass graves have been discovered; they have not been looked at yet. In the camps, our people in their thousands go hungry.
“Those held by Daesh, for a year and several months, too much, too much, too much has happened to them, because every hour, what I have seen in the past, it’s been happening to them.

“I don’t have much information about politics, but there are things I want from all the world and all governments, and from all humans who will hear my voice: that we all stand together, from all religions and all countries. Whatever happens, we all are human and we all are the same. That we take a stand for conscience and humanity, to cut off these things happening to us today, so that this will not happen to other people; so it will not happen to other children, women and girls, and to eradicate this terrorism from the World.”

Thanks for your Time….long write but sweet..

A young man learns what’s most important in life from the guy next door.

Over the phone, his mother told him, “Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday.” Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.

      “Jack, did you hear me?”

“Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It’s been so long since I thought of him. I’m sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago,” Jack said…

“Well, he didn’t forget you. Every time I saw him he’d ask how you were doing. He’d reminisce about the many days you spent over ‘his side of the fence’ as he put it,” Mom told him.

“I loved that old house he lived in,” Jack said.

“You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man’s influence in your life,” she said.

“He’s the one who taught me carpentry,” he said. “I wouldn’t be in this business if it weren’t for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important. Mom, I’ll be there for the funeral,” Jack said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser’s funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time.

Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time The house was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture. Jack stopped suddenly…

“What’s wrong, Jack?” his Mom asked.

“The box is gone,” he said

      “What box?” Mom asked.

“There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he’d ever tell me was ‘the thing I value most,'” Jack said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.

“Now I’ll never know what was so valuable to him,” Jack said. “I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom.”

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died. Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. “Signature required on a package. No one at home.. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days,” the note read. Early the next day Jack retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention. “Mr. Harold Belser” it read. Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope. Jack’s hands shook as he read the note inside.

“Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It’s the thing I valued most in my life.” A small key was taped to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Jack carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch.

Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover. Inside he found these words engraved:

“Jack, Thanks for your time! – Harold Belser.”

“The thing he valued most was…. my time”

Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days. “Why?” Janet, his assistant asked.

“I need some time to spend with my son,” he said.

“Oh, by the way, Janet, thanks for your time!”

Think about this. You may not realize it, but it’s 100% true.

      1. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way..

2 A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don’t like you.

3 Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

      4. You mean the world to someone.

      5. If not for you, someone may not be living.

      6. You are special and unique.

      7. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won’t get it, but if you and wait, sooner or later, you will get it or something better.

      8. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good can still come from it.

      9. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

      10. Someone that you don’t even know exists loves you.

      11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

      12. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know and you’ll both be happy.

      13. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

Hope this message certainly brighten someone’s day and might change their perspective on life… for the better..

To everyone who reads this :::: “Thanks for your time.”

      Jewish genie

*An Arab*had spent many days crossing the desert without finding a source of water. It got so bad that even his camel died of thirst.
He crawled through the sands, certain that he was breathing his last breath, when suddenly he saw a shiny object sticking out of the sand several yards ahead of him.
He crawled to the object, pulled it out of the sand, and discovered that he had a Manischewitz wine bottle.
It appeared that there may be a drop or two left in the bottle, so he unscrewed the top, and out popped a genie.
BUT this was no ordinary Genie. This genie appeared to be a Chasidic Rabbi, complete with black alpaca coat, black hat, side curls, and tzitzis.
‘Vell kid,’ said the genie, ‘you know how it voiks. You got tree vishes.’
‘I’m not going to trust you,’ says the Arab. ‘I’m not going to trust a Jewish genie!’
‘Vott you got to lose? Looks at me – you’re a goner anyvay!’
The Arab thought about this for a minute, and decided that the genie was right. ‘Okay, I wish I were in a lush oasis, with plentiful food and drink.’
      * * * * * * * P O O F! * * * * * * * * *
The Arab found himself in the most beautiful oasis he had ever seen and he was surrounded with jugs of wine and platters of delicacies.
‘Okee-dokee kiddo, vat’s your second vish?’
My second wish is that I were rich beyond my wildest dreams.’
      * * * * * * * P O O F! * * * * * * * *
The Arab found himself surrounded by treasure chests filled with rare old coins and precious gems.
‘Okay kid, you got just vone more vish. Best you should make it a good vone!’
After thinking for a few minutes, the Arab says, ‘I wish that No matter where I go, beautiful women will always need and want me!’
      * * * * * * * P O O F!!! * * * * * * * * *
He was turned into a tampon.
      THE MORAL OF THE STORY:
If you’re an Arab doing business with a Jewish genie, there’s going to be a string attached!
