Tiwaris & Mathurs
Shukla and Sadanand exchange pleasantries and wishes on how they had managed to get rid of their nephew forever. Swetha’s death, Indu’s irrefutable involvement in the case and Sanchi’s downfall – they had achieved all of it with little input.
Once they progress from the initial stages of revelry, Radha then drops the joyousness in her tone to warn her brother-in-law to stay away from any shady businesses for then. Radha’s word of advice is endorsed by Sadanan’d viewpoints too.
Briefly nodding his head in accordance to their counsel, Shukla once again returns to his state of ecstasy – dragging the other party along in his want to celebrate Swetha’s death and Indu Singh’s ruination!

Discreetly observing their remarks through a pair of binoculars from a window in the facing Mathur mansion, the indignant Indu turns around ‘No…its Dasrath Shukla’s turn to be ruined mamaji…I’ll take him to such a place and hurt him so badly…make him suffer such a death that he’ll not even find a drop of water while battling for his life…’
Strangely enough, not refuting her partner’s sentiments, Sanchi echoes her own disgruntlement too ‘How bitter and how despicable of them that they’re actually celebrating Swetha’s death. They will definitely be punished for their deeds’ looking up to Indu, she asks in a low tone ‘But, what should we do’
Looking at Sanchi, he then turns to stare into oblivion -his eyes filled with resentment, as his mind races to device a vindictive yet foolproof strategy!

University
While joyously strolling through college grounds and into the verandah, Shukla overhears a troubled girl confiding in her friend a short distance away.
The girl worriedly confesses that if she failed in the upcoming examinations, her engagement would be called off and bring shame upon her family. Fearing the extent of her preparations, the girl realizes that she would have very little chance of securing good scores in the approaching examinations.
‘There’s only one way to pass – to study…’ her friend encourages her ‘Just concentrate on studying…I’ll help you…now don’t worry all right’ saying so, the supportive classmate takes leave of the perturbed girl.

Having listened in on the conversation, Shukla is tempted. What he wouldn’t do to straight away go over and offer his ‘services’ to the student (what is this – an addiction?). However his shrewd instincts briefly stop him – With the recent Swetha Jha incident hardly being forgotten, he debates that it would be unwise to involve himself in yet another case so soon.
‘However..the greed for money is so addicting that the more one tries to get rid of it, the more difficult it becomes to get rid of’ the greedy man then admits brazenly
Ultimately bowing down to his craving, Shukla approaches the girl and enquires about the reason for her sullen face.

Finding her initially hesitant, Shukla prods her to reveal her issues. Gradually opening up, the student tearfully mentions her problems to the vile predator. Acting like he was lending her a sympathetic ear, Shukla then assures the girl that he had the solution to her issues and asks her to follow him.

Empty classroom
The girl who introduces herself as Kiran Sharma, is initially apprehensive about the lonely classroom that the professor had lured her into. However, the fidgety man covers up for the fact and then quickly proceeds to disclose his greedy inclinations ‘If you can arrange for 70,000 Rs…you can easily pass in the upcoming exams…’
Kiran is shocked by both, the offer and the amount. The girl then proceeds to claim that she’d have no resources to be able to procure that sort of amount.
Not losing hope, the avaricious man enters a bargaining spree ‘Well…50,000 – you must be able to afford that right…’
Swallowing nervously, Kiran gives in to his proposal and mumbles tensely ‘50,000 is too difficult…35,000 is probably what would be feasible…’
‘Try and arrange for the remaining 15,000…till then you hand over the 35,000 to me…’ Shukla suggests ‘Meet me with the amount tomorrow…I’ll give you the question paper and you could note it down…then no one could stop you from procuring good marks’
Flashing her an ugly smile, the man assures her that he would keep up his end of the bargain and that she’d receive good marks, no matter what!
The malicious professor then promises the student that he was only doing so to help her, but that she HAD to remain quiet about the entire transaction ‘If this matter was to come out, you would be the one trapped in this scheme’ he warns the lone girl.

Once the unnerved girl gives him her word, Shukla decides to make an exit from there. Pleased with himself, the man strides outside the classroom leaving behind an anxious Kiran.
Stepping out of hiding, Sanchi and Indu (who’s now finally in a different kurta – slate green-gray) watch the man walk away – both looking more like a pair than ex-college adversaries!
Her brows knotted into deep frown, a disgusted Sanchi tells herself ‘Now no one can stop this man from being sent to prison. He will be punished severely for his actions so that he doesn’t make a mockery of any one else’s life!’
Stepping forth from behind Sanchi, Indu glares at Shukla’s diminishing figure. He vows hatefully ‘Wanted to have me punished for his dastardly deeds…I’ll trap him such that he’ll have no other go but to languish over his misery…’

Making his way through the corridors, the stingy professor suddenly dwells upon his recent interaction with Kiran ‘Why did I ask her to come tomorrow… if she can arrange for the money today, what can’t she hand it to me this evening itself… never postpone a chance to acquire money!’ he tells himself
Retracing his steps he walks back towards the classroom to catch Kiran before she’d leave.
Not prepared for Shukla’s abrupt return to the classroom, Sanchi is taken aback to catch his re-emergence. Swiftly retreating to their secluded spot, she pulls a puzzled Indu along. As Indu enquires about her agitation, Sanchi indicates towards the returning professor to explain the urgency.
Re-entering the classroom, Shukla is relieved to discover that Kiran had not yet left. While Sanchi quickly peeps inside, Indu leans against the wall, bending over his wife to be able to hear the conversations taking place inside.

Shukla does not take long to divulge the reason for his return. Trying to brainwash the girl, he callously influences her not to have the deed postponed to the next day, but to finish it off that evening itself – at 7 pm!
Hearing the latest alterations in the arrangements, Indu is agitated ‘Thank God! we did not miss his re-appearance…if not, our entire plan would have gone to dogs!’
Hearing her flustered husband, Sanchi is compelled to shush him, so that they could eavesdrop on the remaining conversation.

Shukla then proceeds to exchange his phone numbers with the girl too – a handy tip, just in case any unexpected developments emerged.
Watching the disturbing events, Sanchi looks up to Indu who was leaning just behind her, wanting to gauge his expressions on the ongoing scandal.
Once Shukla departs from the vicinity, Indu finally lets out his pent up emotions ‘What a disgusting man…he has to be the greediest person I’ve ever come across!’

That Night
Shukla is pacing restlessly within the classroom wondering why the girl hadn’t yet turned up, when she eventually arrives. Not minding the professor’s impatience, Kiran reveals that she hailed from a poor family and that she underwent a lot of difficulty while trying to acquire the amount. Taking the envelope out of her bag, she requests him to promise her that he’d ensure she passed. Barely paying heed to the girl’s dilemmas, Shukla snatches the envelope from her in no time. Giving the girl his half-hearted reassurances – probably just to shut her up, the man begins counting the amount. Unbeknown to the was the fact that the entire scenario was a set up, Shukla becomes immensely relieved when the amount tallies to his expectations.

Wrapped within his (long-lost) black shawl, Indu records the entire transaction taking place within the classroom. Standing outside the partially-blinded window beside Sanchi, he watches the live clipping playing in his mobile phone while both remain hidden from view.

Just as the professor is desperate to finish off with the transaction, a worried Kiran reminds him that he had not even bothered to ask for any of her details ‘What paper are you going to give me sir…you never asked me or gave me any details…do you even know what class I study in sir…or what subjects I study…’
‘I’ll find out from your name – I’ll get all the details from the office’ a ruffled Shukla confirms.
Seeing that the girl was not convinced, he then nervously takes out a pen and a piece of paper from his pocket. Acting concerned, he requests the girl to provide him with his details, while he hurriedly jolts down the same . Once again providing the uncertain Kiran a ‘Pass-guarantee’ he bids the girl farewell.

Studying the professor’s departure, Indu is happy – he had accomplished what he had set to achieve. He lets out a soft smile to himself. Sanchi is happy too! Pleased with herself, she notices Indu’s expressions and lets out a mild smirk herself.
‘No one call stop you from going to jail Shukla…now you are meant to be behind bars…’ Indu reiterates

Mohalla
Remaining oscured within their shawls and carefully surveying their surroundings as they make their way home, a vigilant Sanchi and Indu discuss their forthcoming plan of action
‘I feel we should bring out the professor’s schemes first thing in the morning…’ Indu conveys
‘We should not make haste…one mistake could ruin all we’ve achieved with so much difficulty…’ Sanchi adds ‘If this time Shukla’s truth fails to come out in the open…Swetha will never receive justice’

While Indu and Sanchi reach their mansion and wait outside for Sanchi’s parents to open the door, a drunk Shukla waltzes into their mohalla. Startled by his untimely arrival, Sanchi and Indu hide behind a couple of pillars in an attempt to stay concealed from his view. However, only compounding the pair’s agony, Shukla decides to take a pit stop and re-satiate his alcoholic urges just in front of the Mathur mansion. Patiently standing behind the pillars, the couple wait for the man to hustle away, before proceeding to knock on the door once again. Relieved when Veena finally opens it for them, they barge into the house and shut the doors behind them instantly.

Tiwaris
Sadanand does not seem too happy to be entertaining a drunk Shukla so late into the night. However, to keep up relations, the lawyer helps his intoxicated brother-in-law to the couch and enquires for the reason behind his visit. Seeing how Shukla had obviously helped himself to such copious amounts of expensive alcohol, Sadanand suspects that the man must have stumbled upon some other form of money. When Shukla reveals the source of his latest cashflow, Radha and Tiwari are highly displeased.

Mathurs
Sanchi is obediently reading aloud an article from a newspaper to her stern husband (this scene was very subtly cute) – The article states the details about a robbery that took place at a jeweller Chandmal’s house in Benaras. The amount stolen was 50,000 Rs. The robbers had not been identified and the police were unable to come across any clues from the scene of crime that would lead them to the original suspects.
Folding the paper away, Sanchi looks up to Indu, hurling him a worried glimpse. However, Indu looks anything but perturbed – his intense features reflect nothing short of an ardent determination to seek revenge!

University
The so-called Chandmal Jeweller is animatedly adressing an assembled audience, screaming his voice hoarse in the university grounds – ‘My name is Chandmal and no one in the whole of Benaras could dare to lay his hands on my money…but someone from this university has stolen money from my house…this university’s form had fallen off the robber’s pocket yesterday at my place…’
Janardhan is furious that his College’s name was being needlessly sullied ‘All students from this university hail from respectable backgrounds…why would anyone do this…’ he refutes
Just then Shukla also arrives at the scene, eager to find out what was happening.
Watching him arrive, Chandmal’s expression changes ‘I told you you that the thief is hiding here..in your college…’
Everyone is confounded and professor Shukla goes on to enquire what the man meant by saying that, goading him to reveal the robber’s identity. Taking the cue, the jeweller unexpectedly points his finger at Shukla himself ‘This is the man who stole from my house yesterday…I saw you leaving my house yesterday…’
The allegation shocks everyone assembled there, even more so Shukla. Horrified by the accusation, the victimized professor rebukes the man – claiming that he had to have his eyesight checked or that the robbery had affected his mental balance. Fighting for his innocence, Shukla fretfully pleads in front of the crowd, stating he had no idea about this man or of his whereabouts. He then turns to Janardhan, requesting him to speak up in his support.
Though in a sarcastic tone, Janardhan manages to support his colleague’s innocence, thus vouching for Shukla’s honesty!

Hearing the volley of defences, the businessman then challenges them with a statement ‘Fine…all of you don’t trust what I’m saying…then I’ll prove to you that I’m right… I’d like to have this man’s house searched…’
Shukla was now trapped. The search could disclose the amount he had received from Kiran. What would he do!

Precap
Kiran is standing in front of the same crowd and she is being interrogated by Shukla – She refuses any knowledge of the money and refutes having ever handed any money over to Professor Shukla.
Shukla becomes overwrought and screams at the girl ‘How dare you…didn’t you bribe me with money when I promised you that I’d award you pass marks in the upcoming exams?’
His truth is out!
