Social networking hardly interests me: Ather Habib

The talented and charming actor Ather Habib, who plays Shaurya in the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) on Star Plus, is someone who does not believe in the concept of social networking.

Not finding him on Whatsapp and Twitter and with almost no activity on his Facebook profile, we called up the actor to get the reason of his conspicuous absence on all means of connecting with him.
The actor laughs at our query and avers, “These days, everyone is asking me the same question. I seriously never felt the need to use this tool to connect with the people I know. It is strange that everyone gives it so much importance, it hardly interests me.”

In this fast-paced world, when most work is done through social networking, how does he manage to be in touch with his friends and family? “I still believe in the custom of calling people whenever needed.
When you have the option to do that, why go for Whatsapp or Facebook,” the actor asks.

Ather is enjoying his regular trips to Punjab, to shoot for the Punjabi film he is a part of “We need the backdrop of the fields and beautiful locales of Punjab in the scenes and importantly in the songs, so I have to travel to and fro often for the shoots,” he informs.

Till then the actor wants to take it easy and keep a distance from the notification buzzes on his phone.
