Taarak Mehta…to complete 1000 episodes on 6 November

Neela Telefilms’ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, on SAB TV, launched four years ago with a “not so warm” response as it wasn’t that appealing to the audience initially. Slowly and steadily, the show started making an impression on the minds of the people and today it has touched the heart of one and all across the globe.

Now, here’s some good news. Taarak is all set to complete 1000 successful episodes on Tuesday, 6 November 2012. And to commemorate the achievement, the channel has decided a jashan (celebration) week. As part of it, the cast and crew of Son of Sardaar will also make an appearance to promote the film.

Shared producer Asit Modi, “Well, it feels great that we will touch the figure 1000 episodes. I am thankful to all the show’s fans and yes… jashan is on.”

He continued, “I feel very special but at the same time I feel all the more responsible. Now, I have to work hard as the viewers and the audiences will have more expectations from us. I feel blessed having the cast and crew with me; they are God-sent gifts to me. I am thankful to all my viewers for making this show so popular.”

Recently, Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completed 1000 episodes and soon Colors’ Uttaran will also achieve the same feat.
