Tumhari Pakhi 21st November 2014 Written Episode

Scene 1
Pakhi takes Pen from Veer, she sits to sign, she looks at Veer and points him to sit beside her, he sits and points her to sign, Pakhi finally sign the divorce papers, Veer says one request from you, I am leaving Riya here, Pakhi is happy, Veer says I don’t think that anybody can raise her better than you and also Ayan will have a sister, plus I will have a reason to come back here, I hope you don’t mind, Pakhi just smiles and looks at Veer, Veer leaves from there.
Its morning, Veer is packing his stuff, Pakhi comes with his shirts and is sad, Veer looks at her and says if we put cactus in room then we get attached to it, I think you are attached to me, Pakhi laughs, she says I laughed on your example, Veer says people tend to get attached to good things, Pakhi says you always maintained that you are the best, Veer says no you are the best undoubtedly, Veer says I will press my shirt, Pakhi says I will press it, Veer says you wont be able to do, Pakhi says you called me best, Veer says ok do it, Pakhi says to Veer that he can make her learn ironing and making sandwich, Veer says I don’t have much time, I have to leave, Pakhi says all will miss you, and me too, Veer gets emotional, Veer opens his arms, Pakhi hugs him., . Pakhi says you are my best friend, Veer says you too, Pakhi says there are many less people like, Veer says and there are is no one like you, Ayan comes with bag and says we have packed biscuits for you, Both Ayan and Riya hugs Veer, they say we will miss you.

Scene 2
Jiji is leaving, she gives gifts to servants, Pakhi ask her to stay for some days, Jiji says it will be difficult for us to leave if we stay now, I pray that you remain same like you are, Pakhi hugs her and touches her feet, Pakhi meets Nandini, Charu, Kumu. Jiji comes to Lavanya and ask her to take care of Pakhi, Riya and Ayan, Lavanya hugs her. Veer comes to Pakhi but doesn’t say anything, they sit in car and leaves. Lavanya says to Pakhi that I was saying yesterday that house is looking like before, all happy but now house is looking what it used to look like after Anshuman’s death, its weird we want people to go away but when they leave, we want them to stop them, Pakhi says this is called human, like time changes people changes, Lavanya says aren’t you afraid of loneliness? Pakhi says my heart is filled so I am not alone, Lavanya says that people like you make love above everything, I am happy that I was part of all this, Lavanya and Girish leaves, Pakhi comes in house and recalls how she first entered this house as bride, Bairi Jiya plays, she looks at Anshuman’s picture, she recalls how anshuman filled her maang, how they held hands many a times, bol na dil se plays, she recalls Anshuman and she was under bed, she recalls how Anshuman said that God must be like you, how they had little moments of togetherness, how they hugged everytime, how they fell in washroom, how they danced in rain, how anshuman filled her maang with sindoor again.

Scene 3
Pakhi, Ayan and Riya are together, they look at stars, Pakhi says the brightest star is Rohini, Mooon have many wives but he loves Rohini the most and travel all the way to meet rohini, Pakhi recalls how Anshuman came to her, Pakhi hugs Riya and Ayan and thinks that Anshuman you said you came to take mother for Ayan and now see I am mother only, earlier I was waiting for you and now you must be waiting for me, I know when I will come to you, there will be glow everywhere, I know you must be smiling seeing us.
Ayan comes to Pakhi in her and says now you are my responsibility and I will love you a lot, he goes, Pakhi thinks that I was yours Anshuman and will always be yours, she sleeps peacefully with Anshuman’s picture, bairi piya plays.

The last Episode ends with Anshuman and Pakhi shown in Mandir praying and Anshuman glancing a Pakhi

      I realised a while back that he is an idiot and I distsnced myself from him .

    The story begins with Madhav Jha, a boy from Dumraon, Bihar, as he comes to meet the author Chetan Bhagat and leaves behind a few journals from his half-girlfriend whom he thinks to have passed away. When the author calls him back the following morning to narrate his story, he begins with his struggles to deal with students in St. Stephen’s College. Being from a village, Madhav is quite bad at English. He has come for an interview in Stephens. A good basketball player, Madhav Jha manages to get admission through his sports quota.

    The rich and beautiful Riya Somani, a girl from Delhi, is also selected through the sports quota. Meeting her, as he would call it a twist of fate Madhav and Riya become close friends due to their association with basketball. Madhav always wants to make her his girlfriend, which she refuses. Desperate to get physical with Riya, he demands that she have sex with him. Offended by his obscene ultimatum (Deti hai to de, warna katle), Riya parts company with him and warns him not to talk to her any more..

    A year later, Riya marries her childhood friend Rohan and settles in London where Rohan has a big business. Finding Delhi unbearable on grounds of losing Riya due to his own fault, Madhav decides to settle in his hometown and help his mother with her school. Seeing the condition of the school – no proper classes or toilets – Madhav decides to meet local MLA Ojha for financial help, but MLA is of no help. An opportunity comes when Ojha informs him of Bill Gates’ visit to some schools in Bihar. Madhav tries his best to convince Gates to fund his schools’ development, but in order to do so he has to prepare a speech, preferably in English.

    In the course of his struggle, he comes across Riya, who was already a divorcee. As Madhav is in a fix as to how he would prepare the speech, Riya helps him. The two are successful in their fundraising, but, after the speech, Riya leaves a letter for him which says that she has lung cancer. With three months left to live, Riya leaves for New York to become a singer, a dream she wanted to pursue. After three years, it is revealed from Riya’s journals that she is alive. Madhav goes in search of her in New York and stays in his friend Sailesh’s apartment. After three months of extensively searching, he finds her in a bar working as a singer, two days before leaving for India. They two marry and the story sets off.

    The book ends as the author visits the rural school in Dumraon three and a half years later; he discovers it is being run successfully by Madhav and Riya, who now had a son, Shyam.

    One afternoon, I was having quiet time at a coffee shop close to work, and could not help but overhear the conversation taking place between two women beside me.

    “My husband has a short fuse. It’s like he has a perennial black cloud hovering about him, and the children and I feel like we always have to tiptoe around him because he lashes out at the slightest provocation,” the harried young woman told her friend.

    “Pagpasensyahan mo na, maybe he’s just tired from work,” her friend replied. “Tired? Even on a Sunday?! He’s like a snapping turtle. Masungit all the time! To me, the kids and the house help…”

    It was a familiar story I had heard countless times. Anger that seethes and boils over like a volcano—affecting not just men but women as well.

    Studies have shown that anger management issues often find their roots in childhood experiences. If your role models, meaning your parents, expressed anger by shouting, hitting, throwing things or hurling expletives, this is probably the way you think anger needs to be expressed.

    Anger management expert Aaron Karmin writes, “If your knee-jerk response in many situations is anger, it is very likely that your temper is covering up your true feelings and needs. This is especially likely if you grew up in a family where expressing feelings was strongly discouraged. As an adult, you may have a hard time acknowledging feelings other than anger.”

    In a CNN article on Internet trolls, psychology professor John Suler described the motivation for these online bullying tactics—“They want to inject their own emotional turmoil into other people by luring them into negativity. It’s a way for them to feel some kind of control or power over their own disruptive emotions, at other people’s expense.”

    Depression

    Many of them, Suler says, have issues with depression, low self-esteem and anger. So much like the man or woman with serious anger management issues.

    Karmin says there are three points to look out for to determine whether there is a deeper issue or emotion that lies beneath the mask of anger. First, if you have a hard time compromising, then most likely, as a child, you grew up in a home where the anger was uncontrollable, where the parent expressing the anger always got his or her way through threat and punishment. Compromising may bring you back to that time and space where the dominant emotions were fear and vulnerability.

    Second, if you have trouble expressing other emotions outside of anger, more often than not you are uncomfortable with feelings of fear or guilt. Thus, you always want to be in control all the time, and in doing so, refuse to yield to other emotions. Anger therefore will always be your shield or your preferred “drug” to mask or numb the pain that lies within.

    Third, Karmin says, when you view different opinions and viewpoints as a personal challenge to you and you always view your way as the only right way rather than trying to see through a different lens, there is clearly an underlying issue beneath the anger and seeming bullheadedness or incorrigibility.

    The American Psychological Association (APA) suggests three main approaches to dealing with anger—expressing, suppressing and calming.

    Expressing angry feelings in an assertive—not aggressive—manner is the healthiest way to express anger. There is no need to slam doors, or verbally abuse colleagues, members of your household staff, or worse, family members.

    However, to do this, the APA says you have to learn how to make clear what your needs are, and how to get them met, without hurting others. Being assertive after all doesn’t mean being pushy or demanding; it means being respectful of yourself and others.

    And if you find yourself on the receiving end of the abuse, it is important for you to take yourself out of the situation even momentarily, so that you can calm yourself and clear your mind so as not to react negatively.

    Converted or redirected

    Suppressed anger needs to be converted or redirected. This takes place when you hold in your anger, stop thinking about it, and focus on something positive. The danger in this type of response is that if it isn’t allowed outward expression, your anger can turn inward—on yourself. Anger turned inward may cause hypertension, high blood pressure or depression.

    The APA says that unexpressed anger can create other problems, such as passive-aggressive behavior (getting back at people indirectly, without telling them why, rather than confronting them head-on) or a personality that seems perpetually cynical and hostile, like the husband at the beginning of my story.

    “People who are constantly putting others down, criticizing everything and making cynical comments haven’t learned how to constructively express their anger. Not surprisingly, they aren’t likely to have many successful relationships.”

    I often tell my children and my students that when someone is being very hurtful and obnoxious, there is often an underlying reason. The meaner a person is, the deeper the hurt within. I like to keep that mind-set so that instead of getting upset at the angry person, I try to be compassionate, and when that doesn’t work, rather than respond, I choose to walk away and return when the other person has calmed down.

    Lastly, to the APA’s suggested third approach, self-calming techniques can be applied when you have learned to become aware of the anger that is rising within. It takes a lot of practice, and a higher level of self-awareness is required, but it can be done.

    The issues, situations and people that may cause frustration and anger cannot be totally eliminated, but you always have the choice on how to respond. They say that “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”

    It’s simple and yet profound—control your anger before it controls and destroys you.
