[V] The Buddy Project 2nd October 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with KD and Piddi at their adda. Piddi is pacing and worried about mid-term admissions in another school as the cost is 2 lacs (). Then suggests to join an all girls school but realizes his mistakes as that would need biological changes (wo tou ho nahin sakta, eh Piddi?) He is worried about their future. Then starts giving suggestions to start a business as all great people who are successful were school dropouts (I believe he meant college, itni lambi chalange na maar Piddi ) Suggests to start a Wada Pao ki dukaan or start selling coconut water as it is a sure shot success. KD is not paying attention. When Piddi calls for his attention, KD says that he is in RA cuz of scholarship. If he is expelled then seeing his tract record, no other school would offer him any place. And his family can’t afford any other school and in no way is he asking for his father’s favor. But then says to Piddi, in an effort to cheer him up, that he can always tell his parents the truth and get out of the mess. Cheer up tou kya, Piddi falls down and starts hearing the sound of his mother beating him up. Gets scared and says that his mother can take the avatar of Maha Kali. Wishes that his parents had used protection and slaps himself (Oh Piddi!) KD only says that he will only regret one thing that they couldn’t take revenge.

JJ on the beach, running. Thinks about the Trustees’ and Princi’s words. He is clearly worried. A small boy comes to him and offers him tea as it would clear his brain. JJ accepts and sits on the ground while the boy plays “Ye Dosti” from Sholay on his tape recorder. Says that life is empty without friends and JJ agrees. Says that tea and biscuit are best friends! JJ is smiling.

Panchi in her room, worried about the expulsion news and how she will tell her mother. Thinks that she will tell straightforward but is scared of their reaction. Just then her mother comes and smiles at her. Asks Panchi what is she doing in front of the mirror? Tells her not to worry as she hasn’t put on any weight, in fact she feels that she has lost some weight. She then asks about RV as he no longer comes home for the projects. Panchi lies that RV is busy and that they have separate projects so no need to work together. Panchi’s mother gives Panchi a Samsung Tab saying that everyone is getting one so she should have one as well. Panchi is shocked and almost moved to tears. She hugs her mother and thanks her, saying that she needed it (the hug). Mummy asks why is she tensed and Panchi’s lies that it is because of exams. Mummy laughs at this and says that it’s impossible for Panchi to be worried about exams and she is sure that this time, her grades will be good like always. Points at the tab and says it’s just an incentive from her father as they are planning a Europe trip after her exams (HAILA?! Yahan exams khatam ho tou Mumma kehti hai ab rotiyan pakana seekho! ) She leaves and Panchi calls the camera and says that her parents are doing so much, how can she break the news of her expulsion! (Seeing Panchi’s mother and Naina Maa, TBP really does have some great motherly figures! Mrs. Gujral has her flaws but her deep down, she does love Kiya though her way of showing it is twisted. One can’t argue with that!)

JJ is in the car, driver is a Sardar Jee (SJ). SJ tunes in the radio where the RJ dedicates “Ye Dosti” from Sholay to the beautiful bond of friendship. SJ enjoying it. JJ says that he has been listening to this song since morning. SJ says that this song reminds him of his friend Vijay, who sold his bicycle to buy SJ a ticket to Mumbai. SJ is really thankful of Vijay because now his life is set and it’s all because of his friend. JJ says that SJ is lucky. JJ gets a call from Kiya. Kiya is very upset and is lashing out at JJ for threatening her and dragging her mother’s name in the fiasco only to get KD’s name out. JJ says that he understands but what the Junglees did was way out of the line and they had to be punished. Kiya replies that he must be very happy that he did all this but it was very unfair. She can’t even tell anything to her mother and disconnects before JJ could say anything. JJ calls the camera and says regretfully that what he did was wrong and now there is no way out. Just then the car stops suddenly and JJ sees a crippled man helping a blind man cross the road (it was a really heartwarming sight! ) SJ says seeing this that everyone is incomplete in the world, only when one gets a partner they get completed. This rings a bell in JJ’s head and he gets an idea. Thanks SJ for his philosophy and asks him to turn around as he has found a solution for his problem.

Panchi is in her room, trying to call RV but he isn’t picking up. (I saw a very cute pic on the wall behind her, from their last happy moment in her room. Awww! Miss them! ) She thinks of his harsh words and says to the camera, crying, that RV ain’t picking up and he is still mad. He should be as she broke his trust as well as her parents’ trust. Call herself a fat dumb loser who is good for nothing! (stupid RV! ALL CUZ OF THAT ALIEN?! Jaa! Jaake Jadu se nain mataka kar! Mere RaHi ke peeche kyun pari hai kamini alien?! ) She gets a call and instinctively turns around thinking that RV is in the room. But it’s only Juhi’s call (my poor baby Panchi ) Juhi is oddly cheerful on the other hand (I liked the way her cell phone was decorated, all fluffy and bobbing ). Tells her that she and Bobby haven’t said anything to their parents as if they are getting expelled, the authorities will inform the parents and they shouldn’t rush things. Panchi likes the idea and agrees.

Piddi at his house, worried and thinking about JJ’s expulsion words. Says to the camera how will he tell his mother but then gets an idea. Just then, her mother asks him to step aside as he was blocking the TV. Piddi goes to sit with her. She is totally engrossed in the TV and informs him that in this episode, the DIL would poison the MIL (Indian women and their strange attachment to the dukhyari DILs Oh wait, I do that too sometimes ) Piddi starts talking about how Bill Gates was a school dropout (college Piddi ) and so was Thomas Edison, the inventor of bulb. Mummy is distracted by the serial. Piddi continues that if it’s no big deal for them to expelled, same should be his case if he was expelled. This gets Mummy’s attention and she starts beating him and asking him about his kartoots. Tells him that it was because Edison never completed his education that all the bulbs are being fused! (That’s it! Hence proved! NO ONE CAN BEAT A MOTHER IN ARGUMENTS!! ) Forbids him from giving her Edison’s example and says that he must’ve done something with KD despite her warnings of staying away from him. Piddi says that he won’t ever leave KD as he is his brother. This instigates Mummy further and she throws him out of the house saying that he should stay with his “brother” then. Piddi outside the house and says to the camera not to worry as Mummy will open the door soon and ask him for dinner and stuff. Maa hai na! A few moments later, the door does open! But Mummy only gives Piddi his bag and stuff and tells him to get out of the house. Piddi is left, ashamed but says “Koi baat nahin, Maa hai na!” to convince himself. (Damn hilarious scene!)

Piddi is out on the street with his bag when he gets a call. It’s from Samar who, wait for it, is dressed in a vest and a dhoti at a halwai ki dukaan! (Ok, picture a man dressed as a traditional halwai, talking on a Samsung Galaxy SIII in a completely royal way. Something is DEFINITELY wrong here ) Samar tells him about Juhi’s idea of not informing the parents. Piddi gets angry at Samar for telling him about this 5 minutes late. If he was informed 5 minutes earlier, he would still be in the house. He tells Samar that his mother has kicked him out of the house and told him to go live with KD which is a no-go for him as Mr. Desai will shoot both of them at sight! So, he requests Samar to move in his “palace” (I wonder where that is ) Samar is caught off guard and he makes an excuse that some 3-4 royal families are staying over at their palace and that his father won’t like a commoner staying with them. While saying so, he drops his cooking spoon which makes a clatter that Piddi hears. He inquires him about the noise and that if he is in the kitchen. Samar again saves himself by saying that yes, he is in the kitchen looking over the royal chefs for the royal dinner (Junglees ka jawab nahin! Ek se barh kar ek bahane hain inke pass )

Panchi is at the RV’s house and rings the bell. RV opens the door but is distracted as he is talking to someone inside. He thinks Panchi is the pizza guy and hands her the money without looking at her. Panchi is confused. But RV finally looks at her and is surprised to see Panchi there. He asks her what is she doing here? (Ek baat kahun? RV looked damn hot in the black t-shirt ) Just then a certain someone who I liked to call “Alien” asks about the pizza. RV is worried at that and Panchi is shocked. She just walks in and RV follows here. Lo and behold! The Alien is coming from the inside with a smirk plastered on her face that made her look uglier than ever! (Okay, she wasn’t looking ugly but HEYLO! I know hate is a strong word so I am justified when I say, I HATE THIS ALIEN?! WHY DOESN’T SHE GO TO MARS ALREADY?! SHEESH!!! )

Precap – JJ looking over the Junglees’ records and making notes. The next day, he hands over a file to Princi with the heading “The Buddy Project”.
