    The Benefits Of Keeping God First In Your Life…

    Make it your goal to have a deep, intimate relationship with God. Let Him into every area of your life. If you constantly look to other people for answers and validation, pray about this and ask the Lord to help you stop doing that and instead look to Him. (See 1 Thessalonians 2:4.) As we live to please God, He promises to bless our lives and make us prosper.

    When you decide to serve God with your whole heart and make Him first in your life, your soul will prosper and your joy and peace will increase. Remember to lean on Him more than anything else, and tell Him, “God, I want to do this, but I can’t do it without You.” He doesn’t expect you to live for Him in your own strength or ability, and He understands when you make mistakes.

    So if you mess up, don’t be discouraged and let it hold you back; confess it and keep going. God will give you grace to do what you need to do. One day at a time you and God together can do anything! Amen..

    A Tale of Two Friends…

    They tell of two friends walking along in the desert.

    During the journey, the two began a temperamental argument. Eventually, in the heat of the moment, one friend slapped the other friend’s cheek. The friend Who had been slapped did not hit back or curse his friend. Instead, he picked up a stick and wrote in the sand:

    Today, my best friend slapped me in the face.

    They continued their journey, until they found an oasis and decided, after quenching their thirst, to take a swim. One friend went into the water and splashed in them with no problem and the other friend, who had been slapped, tripped and hit his head, and immediately began to sink.

    His friend quickly swam towards him and pulled him to shore, where he slowly recovered. When he felt better, he got up, found a sharp stone and carved on a rock these words:

    Today, my best friend saved my life.

    His friend, who has both slapped him and rescued him from drowning, looked at him, surprised.

    ‘After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now you’re carving on stone – why?’

    The other friend looked at him and said:

    ‘When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand so the winds of forgiveness can erase what happened, but when something good happens or when someone is doing a wonderful thing for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can blur what happened, and no future deeds can erase the kindness.’

    We hope to always remember, to etch those good deeds on the rock of our foundation, and to let the winds of forgivness wipe away the bad deeds that were done to us, if only we write them in sand, and not in stone..

      This Story Holds a Truth We All Know In Our Hearts.

      One day the employees of a medium sized company got to the office in the morning and were

      amazed to discover a big sign, hanging on one of the doors, that said:

      “Yesterday died the person who was holding you back in the company. We invite you to take part

      in the funeral that will be held outside.”

      At first all were sad that a co-worker died, but were quickly consumed by curiosity and wanted to

      know who was that person who held them back.

      The excitement outside was palpable, and security had to control the crowd. Each person

      thought: “Who is this person who held me back, and am I happy he’s gone?”

      One after another they stepped up to the casket, and as they looked inside they were shocked

      and silent. They stood there as if someone from above has frozen them in place.

      Inside the coffin was a mirror:

      Each person looking in saw themselves..

      Next to the mirror was a note saying:

      “There is only one person who can hold you back – and that’s you.

      You are the only person who can help yourself.

      Life doesn’t change when your friends or family change, they change when you change them, when you cross lines you’ve never crossed before, when you understand you are the only person responsible for your own life.

      The most important relationship you can have in your life is with yourself. Watch yourself. Test yourself.

      Don’t fear challenges and hardships – make yourself and make your reality.

      The way you deal with life makes all the difference…”

    So my dear, I feel for your mom And family, nothing anyone say can make it better, or undo what has been done, but your mom hot to move forward and consider every thing to be an act of fate, she did not lose hope and withdraw in life, she lived for her children and gave them the best of the best, she is indeed an extraordinary woman.
    Maybe it took this to make her into something so strong that she would not have been otherwise, may God continue to bless and give her continued courage and strength to take each day as a blessing and keep moving on, keep supporting her and be there for her a such as possible, I could only imagine her loss, if it was to happen to me I know how broken I’d be and don’t know if I would be as strong as her and carry on. She us indeed a remarkable person, cherish every moment with her. Lots of love from Trinidad to you and youryour family

    Amaicadear, see our dear Doc hard at work, that’s do good, the worst part is all the racial hate going on, our country is too multicultural to be having such nonsense especially coming from entertainers and we supports them for the most to make a living,

    I dedicate this prayer to you and your family… In Remembrance of loved ones… 9/11..

    Dear God, How do we pray for what was lost? We cannot pray for deliverance or a miracle, for the tragedy

    has already burned itself into our souls. Children have grown fatherless. Families are long since bereaved.

    We know there is no prayer to change the past. So we pray to live with memory, with constant love, with

    the promise both to combat evil and to cherish goodness. Do not let our pain cloud our hopes or crush our

    hearts. Help us grow through this tragedy, keep faith with its victims, and sustain our trust in You.

    Love The Irish

    Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn’t find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, ‘Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!’

    Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

    Paddy looked up again and said, ‘Never mind, I found one

    ~~~~~
    Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and asks the first man he meets, ‘Do you want to go to heaven?’
    The man said, ‘I do, Father.’
    The priest said, ‘Then stand over there against the wall.’
    Then the priest asked the second man, ‘Do you want to go to heaven?’
    ‘Certainly, Father,’ the man replied.
    ‘Then stand over there against the wall,’ said the priest.
    Then Father Murphy walked up to O’Toole and asked, ‘Do you want to go to heaven?’
    O’Toole said, ‘No, I don’t Father.’
    The priest said, ‘I don’t believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don’t want to go to heaven?’
    O’Toole said, ‘Oh, when I die, yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now.’
    Paddy was in New York .
    He was patiently waiting and watching the traffic cop on a busy street crossing. The cop stopped the flow of traffic and shouted, ‘Okay, pedestrians.’ Then he’d allow the traffic to pass.
    He’d done this several times, and Paddy still stood on the sidewalk.
    After the cop had shouted, ‘Pedestrians!’ for the tenth time, Paddy went over to him and said, ‘Is it not about time ye let the Catholics across?’
    ~~~~~

    Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died. He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.

    ‘Did you see the paper?’ asked Gallagher. ‘They say I died!!’

    ‘Yes, I saw it!’ replied Finney. ‘Where are ye callin’ from?’

    ~~~~~
    An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut .. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest’s breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car..
    He says, ‘Sir, have you been drinking?’
    ‘Just water,’ says the priest.
    The trooper says, ‘Then why do I smell wine?’
    The priest looks at the bottle and says, ‘Good Lord! He’s done it again!’
    ~~~~~

    Walking into the bar, Mike said to Charlie the bartender, ‘Pour me a stiff one – just had another fight with the little woman.’

    ‘Oh yeah?’ said Charlie, ‘And how did this one end?’

    ‘When it was over,’ Mike replied, ‘She came to me on her hands and knees.’

    ‘Really,’ said Charles, ‘Now that’s a switch! What did she say?’

    She said, ‘Come out from under the bed, you little chicken.’

    ~~~~~
    Patton staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Kathleen.
    He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful.
    Managing not to yell, Patton sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood.
    He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed..
    In the morning, Patton woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and Kathleen staring at him from across the room.
    She said, ‘You were drunk again last night weren’t you?’
    Patton said, ‘Why you say such a mean thing?’
    ‘Well,’ Kathleen said, ‘it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly ……. it’s all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.
      Yes girl, hmm, the boy came home by us too, but I was not at home, now we have to remind him that coming home by us gave him good luck, lol, local candidate also came home by us, I was not home also, he also won, lol, we’ll the pp government got what was coming to them, I mean, it is unfortunate eh,
      But, let’s hope for the best, I hope this AG treats us better the the last one we know all if them, but when they get up there, you know they don’t know the small man. But we will be cordial. I just very satisfied with our mayor, so far he has not disappointed the people of sando he is very approachable and listens to them and really tries his best,
      When pp or copy occupied the post the mp was a total waste and the mayor was a total clown, and that’s one of the reasons why they lost this seat, also, that phone calls was a big mistake, the undecided must have gotten so disgusted because I know we were , it was totally frustrating they were harassing us all the time with phone calls from unc pp cop offices all phones too, although we asked them not your call us again we were inundated with phone calls and got so fed up, so I could imagine how others felt.
      It is heartbreaking but we have to accept the results, and hope for the best, at least we have strong opp, so much to say on this eh
      Overcoming Depression and More.,
      Pain, medicine, and depression were overwhelming me. The doctors told me I was winning my battle with leukemia, but I felt I was losing emotionally. The depression that had overtaken me seemed worse than physical disease.
      As a rabbi I thought I had been trained to deal with depression. I was used to members of my congregation coming to me in times of suffering. People counted on me for comfort and understanding. Yet, here I was, unable to deal with my own depression.
      Gradually, I was able to summon the strength within me. “God,” I prayed, “I’m trying to get up this mountain, but every time I get near the top, I get knocked down again. And, I’m not asking you to get me all the way to the summit, but could you hold my hand, and, please, don’t let me fall any further into the abyss?”
      As I prayed, I searched for the divine spark within my spirit, for the power that I possessed, and which I believe all of us have. And within myself I found the courage and strength to keep fighting and not give up.
      In the Jewish tradition, prayer doesn’t mean somehow finding God’s unlisted phone number or rubbing a magic lamp to bring forth a genie. It means looking into yourself, determining the meaning of your life, finding out what really is of value, and discovering what you believe. Prayer is the “self-judgment” that empowers us to reach higher, search deeper, and be true to ourselves.
    Indian police have arrested Indrani Mukerjea, wife of a once high-flying media executive, for the alleged murder three years ago of a woman believed to be her daughter. The Mukerjea family is well known and influential in India.
    Mukerjea, who served as the chief executive of INX Media, was among The Wall Street Journal’s “50 Women to Watch” in 2008. She is married to Peter Mukerjea, who previously was head of the Rupert Murdoch-owned Star TV in India.
    The body of Sheena Bora, 27, was allegedly chopped into pieces by Indrani’s driver, Shyam Rai, and some parts of the body were buried.
    The murder came to light when Rai was arrested in another case. Police say the driver led them to the body of Bora in Raigad, about 170km south-east of Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra.
    The facts of the case are still far from clear. Indrani initially said Bora was her sister but later accepted she was a daughter from her first marriage.
    Peter Mukerjea told NDTV he found it “hard to process” that his wife may have killed Sheena. He said he had no clue that Sheena was his wife’s daughter. “I feel like I have been kept in the dark about major parts of my marriage for 15 years. I never took the rumours seriously when I heard them four years ago, but now it is coming to me from the police,” he added.
    Peter also said he had been led to believe that Sheena had been sent to the US after she had a relationship with his son, Rahul Mukerjea, from a prior marriage. Indrani apparently disapproved of the affair.
    Bora’s brother Mikael Bora told NDTV reporters, “I kept calling Sheena, but she would not answer. Indrani would tell me Sheena is in the US and well settled. This went on for a year and a half.” He also said Indrani never acknowledged Bora and him as her children.
      Indrani Mukerjea, former media executive, has been accused of killing her own daughter, Sheena Bora(Indrani Mukerjea’s Facebook page)
      So, how does one describe a murder mystery that has gripped urban India and its media? Simply speaking, Indrani Mukerjea, the second wife of a high-profile third husband, is accused of killing Sheena Bora, her daughter who was initially described as her sister, three years ago. No motive has been conclusively cited.
      The alleged murder itself was uncovered by Mumbai police only days ago and now, every layer in the complex and multi-dimensional murder case is being painstakingly peeled by India’s usually-theatrical media outlets, not to mention avid followers of the news on Facebook. The mystery has all the right elements – high society, rich former media executive, sex and family feud, to name a few.
      Indrani is portrayed as a small-town girl, hailing from distant Guwahati in northeastern Assam, and a “social climber” who may have used every charm she possessed. But facts are hard to come by. Not even her age, claimed as 43, is corroborated. Her relationships with the victim, and her association with the three husbands, or her strained ties with her parents — all are mostly speculative.
      The murder saga, visibly evoking comparisons to a poorly-conceived and muddled-up plot of a Bollywood thriller, is being played out in the Indian media three years after the alleged incident took place.
      “This case fuels the stereotype of the rich and the famous as people with dirty secrets to hide, giving many of us vicarious pleasure in witnessing the fall of the mighty, well-connected, rich, or all of the above,” writes columnist and senior journalist, Shivam Vij.
      A school photo showing Indrani Mukerjea, identified as Kaveri Mukerjea then, posted on Facebook
      Since the story emerged on 25 August, the Indian media has fallen over itself in uncovering any detail — including what Indrani Mukherjea ate in jail. For example, a prominent vernacular news channel ran a headline reading, “Indrani Mukerjea ate sandwich for breakfast”.
      Unsurprisingly, the Sheena Bora murder trial is likened to earlier “sensational” murders cases like Aarushi Talwar, the teenager whose parents were convicted for her killing under mysterious circumstances, and Sunanda Pushkar, the wife of well-known Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.
      Indrani is currently in police custody and is being interrogated by authorities. Along with Indrani, her ex-husband, Sanjiv Khanna and driver, Shyam Rai are also accused of murdering Bora.
    Creating Space for Mistakes in Marriage, Love and Life….. Terri Cole…
    The success of marriage comes not in finding the “right” person, but in the ability of both partners to adjust to the real person they inevitably realize they married”. – John Fischer
    Do you remember the first few months of your relationship? Whether you are married, dating or divorced, you’ve experienced the “honeymoon stage” at the beginning of a romantic relationship. This is a time when everything your partner does seems to thrill you. Things seem perfect, and there isn’t a thing you would change about each other. You love spending time together and all you can think about is the other person. Every touch and kiss feels magical.
    Then like in most relationships, real life set in and things changed. Which is not bad, just what happens.
    Conflict can be an opportunity to communicate on a higher level or an excuse to shut down. As time goes on, you may still love many of the qualities that drew you to your partner, but suddenly there are things about them that get on your nerves as well.
    “Marriage is a psychological and spiritual journey that begins in the ecstasy of attraction, meanders through a rocky stretch of self-discovery, and culminates in the creation of an intimate, joyful, lifelong union. Whether or not you realize the full potential of this vision depends not on your ability to attract the perfect mate, but on your willingness to acquire knowledge about hidden parts of yourself.”
    It is easy to fall into the trap of blaming your partner for your lack of satisfaction or avoid looking at yourself by scrutinizing and criticizing your partner.
    Many couples use “sweating the small stuff” to avoid dealing with themselves or handling the big stuff. The belief that falling in love should equal instant and eternal personal happiness is a myth.
    You are responsible for your happiness and self-evolution, in or out of a relationship.
    While some of your partner’s choices or behaviors may continue to bother you, rather than blaming them, use it as an opportunity for self inquiry. Why does it bother you? Just as it is your job to create joy in your life, it is also up to you manage feelings of anger and frustration without resorting to contempt. The way you think and feel about yourself has a direct connection with how you think about and behave towards your partner.
    When you take responsibility for how you feel you have the power to choose to be loving towards yourself and your partner.
    I want to challenge you this week not to sweat the small stuff. This includes in your friendships, your relationship with your parents, your kids and most certainly in your romantic relationship. Criticize less and give the people you love the space to be human. Choose kindness and focus on your own growth.
    Love.. Love… Love
    The Secrets…..
    No-one is destined to live a life of poverty, because each of us has the ability to change everything in this life.
    The law of attraction is the law of creation, and it allows each person to create the life they want.
    Every person has their own unique circumstances to overcome, but every single person has the opportunity to achieve anything – and change everything.
    May the joy be with you,
    God’s Two Boxes …
    I have in my hands two boxes,
    Which God gave me to hold.
    He said, “Put all your sorrows in the black box,
    And all your joys in the gold.”
    I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
    Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
    But though the gold became heavier each day,
    The black was as light as before.
    With curiosity, I opened the black,
    I wanted to find out why,
    And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
    Which my sorrows had fallen out by.
    I showed the hole to God, and mused,
    “I wonder where my sorrows could be!”
    He smiled a gentle smile and said,
    “My child, they’re all here with me..”
    I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
    Why the gold and the black with the hole?
    “My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings, the black is for you to let go.”
    We should consider all of our friends a blessing.
    Send this to your friend s today just to let them know you are thinking of them and that they are a joy in your life.
    A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end.
    It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends.
    But the treasure inside for you to see,
    Is the treasure of friendship you’ve granted to me.
    Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
    and Santa Flora M Supplies….
    People are in inching on his property.. Thus the reason he’s selling.
    SR is also developing other family property in the South area
    and people are saying he took bribe that’s why he got the land.,
    If I didn’t know this truth maybe I would also believe the lies..
    I am not putting my head on a block for anyone but if that’s the
    land he is accusing SR about he is dead wrong ..
      I meant to say that people are encroaching on his property.
      However, in his family, he is the only one capable of attending
      to the land issues at hand… since ARamba is in Minnesota and
      the other brother a pundit… Is not interested.
      SR has a sick son and the daughter can’t handle this task.
      I’m happy that he has taken this approach.
      So Inshaan and others are just dirty liars..
      WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN WHEN WE PRAY?
      THIS IS ONE of the nicest e-mails I have seen lately:
      I dreamed that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ‘ This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.
      I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
      Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
      The angel then said to me, “This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.” I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
      Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. “This is the Acknowledgment Section, my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed.” How is it that there is no work going on here? ‘ I asked.
      “So sad,” the angel sighed. “After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments”
      “How does one acknowledge God’s blessings? ” I asked..
      “Simple,” the angel answered. Just say, “Thank you, Lord. ”
      “What blessings should they acknowledge?” I asked.
      “If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy. ”
      “And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.”
      “If you woke up this morning with more health than illness .. You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day. ”
      “If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation … You are ahead of 700 million people in the world.”
      “If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.”
      “If your parents are still alive and still married …you are very rare.”
      “If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you’re unique to all those in doubt and despair…….”
      Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are
    The people of India are one of the luckiest human beings on earth. They have so many wondrous plants that they literally don’t need modern medicine. One of these plants is the Neem Tree. In India this tree is called the Miracle Tree and it is considered to be one of the most beneficial plants for the human health. It is practically an essential part of any natural treatment and it doesn’t have a single side-effect as many modern drugs do. The most common use of this tree in India is for making virgin oil, which has high medicinal properties.
    The Health Wonders of the Neem Tree
    Almost the entire tree can be used for medicine starting from the roots up to the leaves, flowers, branches, bark and seeds. Here are 12 common uses of the Neem Tree:
    In the rural parts of India people use the Neem twigs instead of a toothbrush. However, they don’t actually brush their teeth with the twigs, but instead every morning they chew on them. This way they naturally prevent bleeding of the gums and oral infections.
    The Neem tree is also used as an ingredient in natural toothpastes. It helps to prevent gum and tooth decay, fortifies them and naturally bleaches the teeth.
    The Neem tree is also used as a natural germicide and pesticide. It is able to deter 500 types of insects that destroy crops and furniture, or insects such as ticks and similar. It can even protect our body from microbes because it has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties.
    The oil extracted from the Neem Tree can help you reduce wrinkles. It does that by creating collagen in the skin, thus maintaining its elasticity and preventing it from aging. You’ll get a youthful look and a healthy skin. It can also help in treating skin conditions such as rashes or acne.
    By activating the collagen fibers in the skin the Neem can assist in faster wound healing and the healing of damaged skin tissues. By consuming or applying the oil to the skin you can treat all sorts of infections, scratches, abrasions and sores too.
    If you make a Neem paste you can use it to treat psoriasis and eczema.
    Another benefit from the Neem oil is relieving joint pains and strengthening the bones. You can even use some Neem oil into your bath to relax your muscles after a busy day.
    You can drink Neem tea if you are feeling stressed and nervous. It calms your mind and gives you an instant relief and invigoration.
    Make a paste of the Neem leaves and apply it to your scalp if you want to prevent dandruff, premature graying or hair loss. It even helps if you have lice.
    People suffering from low blood circulation can drink Neem tea because it promotes the creation of healthy blood cells.
    The tea is highly recommended to people with diabetes because it lowers the blood sugar levels.
    If you blend the seeds with warm water and drink it every morning on an empty stomach, you can prevent hemorrhoids and bleeding.
    Conclusion
    It doesn’t matter what your health problem is, you can use the Neem Tree for all sorts of ailments. Don’t wait to actually develop a problem, instead use the Neem Tree to boost your health and prevent a disorder before it has blown to a full scale.
      The Life Changing Power Of Words…… Editor Bob…
      Could your life forever be changed by only one thing?
      I have experienced dynamic changes in my life because of a few words. Words can have better or worse impact on your life.
      I was in fourth grade when I erred in a school project because I wasn’t a dab hand at drawing. The teacher walked up to me, visibly annoyed and spoke five words that had an effect on my personality for a long time. He said, “You are good for nothing!”
      I guess, these words did not hit me instantly but had a gradual influence. I started seeing the truth in it when I stumbled at something. The words reverberated in my mind filling me with diffidence. Until one evening my dad’s words pulled me out of the eclipse. His words I remember fell on me like bright rays of the sun bringing everything in the right perspective.
      Those four words helped me define myself. Those words support me when I get into self-doubt even today.
      I remember, I was a nervous wreck when he walked into my room. He casually asked me how my day was. I didn’t get through the university I was aiming at and was devastated, I kept reciting the words of my art teacher, “I am good for nothing!”
      My dad said, “it’s unfortunate son because all I know is, you are your belief!” I locked my eyes with him and he was smiling. An understanding dawned instantly as if he had unlocked the door that freed me. Since then I have never let someone’s opinion outline who I am. I have created my own beliefs that work well for me. I am watchful of my words and have an affirmation for every negative suggestion.
      Words make you profound or foolish. Words can take you towards freedom or push you towards doom. How we use words defines where we are going?
      The words we use can nurture our relations or shatter them.
      Strangely, when we start a revolution against something it grows in even larger proportions. Haven’t you noticed a rise in obesity rates ever since anti-obesity drive started? Wouldn’t it be better to use words that take you towards the solution and not highlight the trouble area?
      Words have power to get manifested especially when we feed them with our belief.
      “Words… words are all I have to take your heart away…” in the calming voice of Boyzone, was playing in my car one summer morning as I drove to work. The weather was warm with cool breeze making it extremely pleasant. I parked my car and closed my eyes in rapture… I could feel the drizzle on my face and hear the wind sing in my ears.
      When I entered office I heard my colleague complain about the wet weather and the haze. He felt sick while I felt rejuvenated. What do you think the only difference was? Our self-talk was different and so was our experience. That’s the power of words.
    This Blew My Mind
    A young man went to seek an important position at a large printing company. He passed the initial interview and was going to meet the director for the final interview. The director saw his resume, it was excellent. And asked, ‘
    – Have you received a scholarship for school?’ The boy replied, ” No ‘.
    -‘ It was your father who paid for your studies? ‘
    -‘ Yes.’- He replied.
    -‘ Where does your father work? ‘
    -‘ My father is a Blacksmith’
    The Director asked the young man to show him his hands.
    The young man showed a pair of hands soft and perfect.
    -‘ Have you ever helped your parents at their job? ‘
    -‘ Never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, he can do the job better than me.
    The director said:
    -‘ I have got a request: When you go home today, go and wash the hands of your father and then come see me tomorrow morning.’
    The young man felt his chance to get the job was high.
    When he returned to his house he asked his father if he would allow him to wash their hands.
    His father felt strange, happy, but with mixed feelings and showed their hands to his son. The young man washed his hands, little by little. It was the first time that he noticed his father’s hands were wrinkled and they had so many scars. Some bruises were so painful that his skin shuddered when he touched them.
    This was the first time that the young man recognized what it meant for this pair of hands to work every day to be able to pay for his study. The bruises on the hands were the price that he payed for their education, his school activities and his future.
    After cleaning his father’s hands the young man stood in silence and began to tidy and clean up the workshop. That night, father and son talked for a long time.
    The next morning, the young man went to the office of the director.
    The Director noticed the tears in the eyes of the young man when He asked him: -‘ Can you tell me what you did and what you learned yesterday at your house?’
    The boy replied: -‘ I washed my father’s hands and when I finished I stayed and cleaned his workshop ‘
    -‘ Now I know what it is to appreciate and recognize that without my parents , I would not be who I am today . By helping my father I now realize how difficult and hard it is to do something on my own. I have come to appreciate the importance and the value in helping the family.
    The director said, “This is what I look for in my people. I want to hire someone who can appreciate the help of others , a person who knows the hardship of others to do things, and a person who does not put money as his only goal in life”. ‘ You are hired ‘.
    A child that has been coddled, Protected and usually given him what he wants, develops a mentality of ” I have the right ‘ and will always put himself first, ignoring the efforts of their parents. If we are this type of protective parent are we really showing love or are we destroying our children?
    You can give your child a big house , good food , computer classes , watch on a big screen TV . But when you’re washing the floor or painting a wall , please let him experience that too.
    After eating have them wash the dishes with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you have no money to hire someone to do this it’s because you want to love them the right way . No matter how rich you are, you want them to understand. One day your hair will have gray hair, like the father of this young man.
    The most important thing is that your child learns to appreciate the effort and to experience the difficulties and learn the ability to work with others to get things done.
      After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Walmart. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women – she loves to browse.
      Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Walmart
      Dear Mrs. Woolf,
      Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Woolf, are listed below and are “documented by our video surveillance cameras”:
      1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people’s carts when they weren’t looking.
      2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-
      minute intervals.
      3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the
      women’s restroom.
      4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official
      voice, ‘Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away’. This caused the
      employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted in management getting involved causing management to lose time and costing the company money.
      5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to reserve a bag of
      chips.
      6. August 14: Moved a ‘CAUTION – WET FLOOR’ sign to a carpeted area.
      7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the
      children shoppers they could come in if they would bring pillows and
      blankets from the bedding department – to which twenty children
      obliged.
      8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began
      crying and screamed, ‘Why can’t you people just leave me alone?’
      Emergency Medics were called.
      9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
      10. September 10: While handling guns in the Sports department, he
      asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
      11. October 3: Darted around the Store suspiciously while loudly
      humming the ‘ Mission Impossible’ theme.
      12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his ‘Madonna look’ by using different sizes of funnels.
      13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed
      through, yelled ‘PICK ME! PICK ME!’
      14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed the fetal position and screamed ‘OH NO! IT’S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!
      15. Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where the fitting room was.
      And last, but not least:
      16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited
      awhile, and then yelled very loudly, ‘Hey! There’s no toilet paper in
      here.’ One of the Staff passed out.
    Bollywood Super-Star Deepika Padukone Opens Up To Her Struggle With Depression and Anxiety.
    WASHINGTON — In the eyes of the public, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has spent the last two years at the top of her career. She starred in two of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, picked up numerous awards for her work and embarked on her first-ever world tour.
    But Padukone revealed on Thursday that despite all of her success, internally she has found herself battling depression and anxiety. In a piece narrated to Hindustan Times, the actress opened up about struggling to get out of bed, seeking help and the urgency of addressing mental health in India.
    “I thought it was stress, so I tried to distract myself by focusing on work, and surrounding myself with people, which helped for a while. But the nagging feeling didn’t go away,” Padukone said. “My breath was shallow, I suffered from lack of concentration and I broke down often.”
    The Best Senior Joke Collection…. I’m still laughing!!!
    Bob, age 92, and Mary, age 89, are all excited about their decision to get married. While out for a stroll to discuss the wedding they pass a drugstore. Bob suggests they go in.
    Bob asks to speak to the pharmacist. He explains they’re about to get married, and asks, “Do you sell heart medication?”
    “Of course we do,” the pharmacist replies.
    “Medicine for rheumatism?”
    “Definitely,” he says.
    “How about Viagra?”
    “Of course.”
    “Medicine for memory problems, arthritis, jaundice?”
    “Yes, the works.”
    “What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antacids?”
    “Absolutely.”
    “Do you sell wheelchairs and walkers?”
    “All speeds and sizes.”
    “Good,” Bob says to the pharmacist. “We’d like to register for our wedding gifts here, please.”
    A couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they’re physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember ..
    Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. ‘Want anything while I’m in the kitchen?’ he asks.
    ‘Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?’
    ‘Sure..’
    ‘Don’t you think you should write it down so you can remember it?’ she asks.
    ‘No, I can remember it..’
    ‘Well, I’d like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so as not to forget it?’
    He says, ‘I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.’
    ‘I’d also like whipped cream. I’m certain you’ll forget that, write it down?’ she asks.
    Irritated, he says, ‘I don’t need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream – I got it, for goodness sake!’
    Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment. ‘Where’s my toast?’
    Senior citizens have taken to texting with gusto. They even have their own vocabulary:
    BFF: Best Friend Fainted
    BYOT: Bring Your Own Teeth
    CBM: Covered by Medicare
    FWB: Friend with Beta-blockers
    LMDO: Laughing My Dentures Out
    GGPBL: Gotta Go, Pacemaker Battery Low!
    An elderly couple had dinner at another couple’s house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
    The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, ‘Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great, I would recommend it very highly.’
    The other man said, ‘What is the name of the restaurant?’
    The first man thought and thought and finally said, ‘What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love?
    You know, he one that’s red and has thorns.’
    ‘Do you mean a rose?’
    ‘Yes, that’s the one,’ replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, ‘Rose, what’s the name of that restaurant we went to last night?’
    An elderly man visits the doctor for a checkup. “Mr. Smith, you’re in great shape,” says the doctor afterward. “How do you do it?”
    “Well,” says Mr. Smith, “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and the good Lord looks out for me. For weeks now, every time I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, he turns the light on for me.”
    Concerned, the doctor finds Mrs. Smith in the waiting room and tells her what her husband said.
    “I don’t think that’s anything to worry about,” she says. “And on the bright side, it does explain who’s been peeing in the fridge.”
    A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:
    ‘So I hear you’re getting married?’
    ‘Yep!’
    ‘Do I know her?’
    ‘Nope!’
    ‘This woman, is she good looking?’
    ‘Not really.’
    ‘Is she a good cook?’
    ‘Naw, she can’t cook too well.’
    ‘Does she have lots of money?’
    ‘Nope! Poor as a church mouse.’
    ‘Well, then, is she good in bed?’
    ‘I don’t know.’
    ‘Why in the world do you want to marry her then?’
    ‘Because she can still drive!’
    Three old guys are out walking.
    First one says, ‘Windy, isn’t it?’
    Second one says, ‘No, it’s Thursday!’
    Third one says, ‘So am I. Let’s go get a beer!’
    Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
    A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
    A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, ‘You’re really doing great, aren’t you?’
    Morris replied, ‘Just doing what you said, Doc: ‘Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.”
    The doctor said, ‘I didn’t say that. I said, ‘You’ve got a heart murmur; be careful.’
    And just one more. . .
    A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
    The waitress asked kindly, ‘Crushed nuts?’
    ‘No,’ he replied, ‘Arthritis.’
    The Blue Rose…
    What a difference a moment can mean to someone….
    Having four visiting family members, my wife was very busy, so I offered to go to the store for her to get some needed items, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags, detergent and Clorox. So off I went. I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies and headed for the
    checkout counter, only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man who appeared to be about sixteen-years-old. I wasn’t in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, “Mommy,
    I’m over here.”
    It was obvious now, he was mentally challenged and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His
    eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, “Hey Buddy, what’s your name?”
    “My name is Denny and I’m shopping with my mother,” he responded proudly.
    “Wow,” I said, “that’s a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Steve.”
    “Steve, like Stevarino?” he asked.
    “Yes,” I answered. “How old are you Denny?”
    “How old am I now, Mommy?” he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle.
    “You’re fifteen-years-old Denny; now be a good boy and let the man pass by.”
    I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement, because he was the center of someone’s attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.
    Denny’s mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn’t even look at him, much less talk to him.
    I told her that it was my pleasure and then I said something I have no
    idea where it came from. I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow, and pink roses in God’s Garden; however, “Blue Roses” are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness. You see, Denny is a Blue Rose and if someone doesn’t stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they’ve missed a blessing from God.
    She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, “Who are you?”
    Without thinking I said, “Oh, I’m probably just a dandelion, but I sure
    love living in God’s garden.”
    She reached out, squeezed my hand and said, “God bless you!” and then I had tears in my eyes.
