    Steve Jobs’ Last Words –

    Let us read and think….

I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world.
In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.
However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.
At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.
In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…
Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…
Should be something that is more important:
Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days …
Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.
God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.
The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me.
What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.
That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.
Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.
What is the most expensive bed in the world? – “Sick bed” …
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.
Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – “Life”.
When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – “Book of Healthy Life”.
Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.
Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends…
    Treat yourself well. Cherish others.

Kris….I checked here for you on Divali night … It was probably before you
came… Nevertheless., I’m happy that your Mom is at home.
What!!! Some kinda stone… what sort of diagnosis is that
Infection in the stomach… That could be very painful..
Kris Know that your Bil’s are Doctors..they can advice.
But the hospital has excellent doctors and nurses in that field..
You should insist that they do an endoscopy… since they are well trained..

Some people can really be unreasonable and Wednesday being a working day too.
I lit just a few deyas because of my nephew’s death and the BIL being ill etc.
This year I was able to spend time with relatives and friends.. and also enjoy dinner.

I think God wanted to send us a message… We light all these external lights but yet
inside of some of us are so much darkness..( hate.. anger.. jealousy..ego..lust..etc)
We ought to let the lights shine in our hearts and minds

Kris keep me posted on your Mom…I’ll find out what I can also…
I’m really sorry that I didn’t see your post before.
Hope you are relaxed now and that the family is okay.

Liman… It’s wonderful to hear from you.. Thanks for the kind words.
Please share more often with us. Tell us more about things on your end.
And the intelligent one is Suni…I’ve learnt so much from her. Thank you Suni.
Also I’m grateful to Afresh …her famous line…Go with the flow… My mantra.
How can I forget SJ… Live.. Laugh… Love… and Be Happy.

Kris…Oh my! I’m so sorry…That virus is very bad…hope you saw the doctor.
Your family will help out with the cleaning…Everything will work out fine.

I’m still cleaning.. KR took a couple day off… We have some help so that’s
a blessing. Trying to fit everything in… Hope to do my sweets on Monday.

One of my nephews died…funeral is tomorrow.. He was in the
hospital for a couple of days. He is in a better place..I’m happy for him.
Poor child his life was complicated he made some serious mistakes but
choose not to change even though he saw the pain that it caused the family.
I tried very hard with him earlier and then gave up..he threw his life away.
Was a teacher by profession and being Brahmin born started to do puja on
the side… He limed with the top pundits and one day he returned home in an
orange robe and that was when his life changed and started to slip downhill.

My BIL on the other hand is not doing too good…he’s fighting hard … Poor guy.
We are not allowed to visit only his wife and daughter.
      Gods’ Grace again..

Wishing you and your family a happy Diwali.

Not all the family are the same dear, all go different ways, but what’s in our fate cannot be changed,
Girl the crime is getting worse here
Did you see in the news about the school girl being shot in an abandoned house, it’s just a few houses from me, the house belongs to friends of ours,
Did you go divali Nagar, I want to go but rvr hate the traffic and fuss
      Time to start cleaning again

      Kris…My BIL came home today… can’t have visitors…
resistance still low and he can’t take any risk.
Some relatives are upset that they can’t see him but
he is taking no risk.. remember I told you he live by
the rules..His doctor will be at home for divali..

Your Mom is in the hospital…hope it’s nothing serious.
I wish her a speedy recovery and that she’s at home
      to enjoy Divali.

      I did’t listen to news a couple of days… Didn’t hear anything.
That’s so terrible.. will check the news on line later.
Girl we all got to be very careful. Parents have to observe who
their kids are chatting with on line… So many chat lines available.

Chan’s Mon is at the NH too…gathering water…she’s a fighter also.
Hope to see her at home for Divali… She’s a sweetheart…

My nephew’s service was very simple …peaceful.
The famous pundit conducted the service .. I must give him
credit… One of my nieces did three melodious but-simple chants.
I am so proud of her. She’s affiliated with the blue star ashram.

Looking at the Nagar programme as I type… Beautiful dance to the
song Deepajale Deepajale…I’m sure if the little one ask RVR to take
her to the nagar he surely will… The show looks really lively.

Well my cleaning is finished…but my six water tanks are almost empty.
      If I don’t get water tonight then I can’t make sweets tonight…
But again with faith like Hanuman water will soon flow in my taps.

Kris… It’s a pleasure meeting you on PV 1… Know what a star from
Kum Kum Bagia was at the nagar tonight…she was also in PV1..
Too tired to tax my brains to remember her name…( the last bro.. wife)

Take care…enjoy the rest of the Divali festival.

A Short Tale that Will Remind You of a Person’s True Value..

From time to time there are people who don’t want what’s best for you, and manage to shake your self-confidence, causing you to feel unappreciated, especially during difficult times. For children who are still developing their personality, this can be devastating, so it is important to remind them how much you value them. The following short story will remind you of your true value, so share it with your children and friends so they won’t forget, even for a minute, that they are valued by you.

One morning, Mr. Johnson entered the classroom where he teaches, holding a $100 note. After a few moments, when the students finally quieted down, he raised his hand that was holding the note up and asked his students:“Who wants this bill?”

Of course, all of the children raised their hands, each hoping to be the lucky winner.

Mr. Johnson lowered his hand and proceeded to fold the note several times, and asked: “And now, who still wants the bill?”. Once more, all of the children raised their hands.

Next, Mr. Johnson threw the note on the floor, stepped on it, then picked it up and scrunched it into a dirty little ball. A few seconds later he cleared his throat and asked: “And now, who still wants the bill?”. All of the students laughed, as they were surprised by the teacher’s behavior, but all of them still raised their hands.

Mr. Johnson then asked the class: “And what did you learn from this?”

None of the students answered, as they didn’t understand what it is that they were supposed to learn.

Mr. Johnson stood in the middle of the class, holding the wrinkled note and said: “You, my dear pupils, are like this $100 bill. Sometimes people will hurt you, step on you, crush you and mock you. You must remember then that each of you has value, each of you is special and unique, and just like this bill didn’t change its value when I folded it or stepped on it, no one else can lower your value either.

The Mouse Trap- A Tale Of Helping Others..

A little mouse woke up one morning in its lair, yawned, stretched and prepared for the upcoming day. When it peered out of its hole in the wall of the farmer’s house, he saw the farmer and his wife struggling to open a large package laying on the floor. “I wonder what kind of food is inside”the mouse thought to himself, only to realize that it’s not food, but rather a clever mouse trap.

The mouse quickly ran out of the house screaming: “There’s a mouse trap in the house! There’s a mouse trap in the house!” A well-fed hen that was sitting and enjoying the morning sun, lazily raised its head and clucked: “Mr. Mouse, I see it’s something that greatly troubles you, but it has no effect on me. Please stop interrupting my sleep and go somewhere else.”

The mouse hurried along, looking for other animals it can warn about the great danger, and when he saw the sheep, he called: “There’s a mouse trap in the house! There’s a mouse trap in the house!” The sheep bleated back: “I really do feel for you, Mr. Mouse, but there’s nothing I can do, but I wish you well, and good luck!”

The mouse continued on, and came to the cow shed almost out of breath. When he saw the cow, he shouted: “There’s a mouse trap in the house! There’s a mouse trap in the house!” The cow used its tail to banish an annoying fly, nodded her head sadly, and said: “Oh dear! Believe me that I truly feel for your plight, but as a cow, I can’t find a reason to leave the shed.”

Rejected and humiliated, the mouse returned to the farmhouse, knowing full well that it would have to deal with the trap on his own.

Later that night, a loud noise interrupted everyone’s sleep – it seemed that the mousetrap has finally caught its prey. The farmer’s wife got out of bed all excited and hurried to see the little bandit that was caught in the trap. However, in the darkness, she could not see that what was caught in the trap is not the tail of a gray little mouse, but the tail of a poisonous snake.

The snake bit the wife and the farmer had to rush her to the hospital.

After a while, the farmer and his wife went back home, but then her fever spiked and would not go down. Since it is known that the best cure for a fever is fresh chicken soup, the farmer quickly went outside and turned the chicken into soup.

The farmer’s wife drank the soup, but alas – her fever did not go down. The rumor about her condition spread like wildfire, which led to visits from concerned friends and family members. The farmer was happy to see so many people in the house, but to feed them he had to throw a large dinner, and serve a rack of lamb as the main course.

Everyone ate the food and thanked the farmer, but all of the best wishes and prayers were for naught, and a week later, the farmer’s wife passed away. Many more people came to pay their respects, and to thank them all, the farmer served his prize cow as juicy steaks.

The mouse was watching the events unfold from his little hole, and sighed.

We often hear of someone who’s in trouble, but when it doesn’t directly affect us, we may decide not to lend a hand. Life, however, is a journey, a major part of which requires mutual responsibility, and when the weakest person in society is in peril, we should all feel threatened. If we help each other we will be stronger together, but if we think only of ourselves we end up hurting everyone.

Kris …. You’re a very productive business woman.
When that project is over try and get one with this new regime.
They are looking for people like you. You are young and capable.
My friend OS got one… thought that one was quick..
Kris… I’m always getting buff for extending myself…tonight someone
told KR that next week it’s our treasurer’s birthday and also her husband’s.
They are a very hard working and dedicated couple in the community
but don’t like to celebrate their birthday… Don’t like their names called etc.
My friend from the printery and I together said OK we will celebrate next week.
Girl we are here today gone tomorrow let’s make people happy..
Still got house cleaning to do but like Hunaman I have faith in God…
My BIL is a man who is very meticulous … Did everything right and by the book.
He is a perfectionist ..His home and surroundings are meticulously clean and tidy.
Plays competitive golf… Vegetarian… No alcohol consumption..believes in serving
the less fortunate.. Through SBOI he helped build several homes .. Not a builder
but is always there with the seva crew…and he suddenly fell ill.
Remember once I mentioned about KR friend at work…. similar….
The children from Oman is here… Leaving next week… It’s very hard for the family.
KR is the younger brother but totally opposite… Monday could fall on a Friday type
of guy… He always depend on his big brother like a father…since the parents died
they have become even closer and I’ve witnessed his brother being there for him
at all times. He is in the NS and we are praying that the situation will reverse
and improve. This is one time we pray for a miracle and forget about thy will be done.
I believe if we ask God for what we want … He will listen to our call.
The close relatives unanimously wish for a miracle in this situation…

Kris like everyone one else… Sometimes close relatives tend to focus on the thorns
And not the beauty of the rose…This is one lesson that I have to remember and apply.
So we were hit by an unexpected storm … The waters are rough and choppy
The tides are high but we’ll ride the waves until it takes us to the shore.

Oh amaica my dear you are truly an inspiration to me, I do admire you and the family, your BIL sounds like a wonderful person indeed, so sorry to about him, hope everything is OK, girl leave everything in the hands of the almighty he will take care of everything, you need not worry, there’s only so much modern meds could do, and you know about karma, whatever has to happen, whatever you are destined to face in this lifetime has already been written from conception, we cannot change our fate, but put God before everything we dodo, and in whatever we do, girl it is easy to preach to others in time of difficulty but when you have to face it is a different case, I wish your family God’s grace and blessings to give you all the courage to face this time of sorrow, I truly wish him all the best, with all his hood deeds, only God will do what is right by him, just keep faith, I know it has helped me tremendously in the past.
Girl, you know how they say not to start any work etc during Pitri Paksh, we’ll, I had no choice, since we had good weather, to start drains on the land, in any ways, my guru does not preach that aspect, we’ll everything went really well, I got good weather till all was done, and the day after, we’ll it raining everyday, really, my contractor said, God really on my side, really, rains fell all around the land during the work, only after, I’m really lucky,
Got some more work, but tractor ain’t reach yet, oh well
I will have to approach the gov for something yes, I will reapply for a commissioner of affidavits, I did, but never got it under the last gov, even though we knew from Pm down,
      Well, all the best dear,

Kris… I know that you are busy and yet you responded so promptly.
Thank you. Just felt that I had to tell you.
Yes karma and the Grace of God is our only hope.
Like I told her this afternoon that I don’t believe in – Thy will be done..
I pray and I ask God for what I want like I’ll ask my Mother.
Remember the story of Savitri in the Ramayana..
He was suppose to come home this afternoon but not until Monday
now. Sodium levels are very low.. He is much brighter today.. Thank God.
Well life … Expect the unexpected …
      Kris…you were well guided ..

My friend got a contract at Campden ..you know the rest.
Same bottle different cover..In this country you have to
play your game smart but clean..else you’ll be left out.

This is reality.., I am guilty of looking at the thorns…

Don’t leave the rose because of the thorns! Even the thorns have a purpose, else the rose cannot exist! So, a rose cannot exist without thorns. If you keep looking only at the thorns then you will lose the beauty of the rose. If you go to the garden, and look only at the thorns without enjoying the flower, then you will become unhappy. Small things are enough to make the mind lose it’s center. Just become aware of it, then you will win over it. So there is beauty in every person. Look at that, not at the thorn, look at the flower. This is important to understand. Nobody is less or more.

    THE
    BRICK

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street,
going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.. He was watching for kids darting out from
between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag’s side door!
He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up
against The parked car shouting, ‘What was that all about and who are you?
Just what the heck are you doing? That’s a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?’ The young boy was apologetic. ‘Please, mister…please, I’m sorry but I didn’t
know what else to do,’ He pleaded. ‘I threw the brick because no one else would stop….’
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car.. ‘It’s my brother, ‘he said ‘He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can’t lift him up.

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, ‘Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He’s hurt and he’s too heavy for me.’

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat… He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh
scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. ‘
Thank you and may God bless you..the grateful child told the stranger, Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home..
It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: ‘
Don’t go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!’
God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts Sometimes when we don’t have
time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It’s our choice to listen or not..
    ————
God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the
day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

I believe that this story was posted here before by either Kris or Suni..
Reminders are always valuable…. Have a great weekend… Be Blessed.

When asked what he wished to become, as a young man, Nobel Laureate Albert Einstein was reported to have said, “I want to become a useful person, not a successful person.”Asked what he meant by it, the eminent physicist replied, “A successful person is one who takes from society more than what he gives it. A useful person is one who gives the society more than what he takes from it.”
    STAY CALM

When you feel like saying something
That you know you will regret,
    Or keenly feel an insult
    Not quite easy to forget,
That’s th e time to curb resentment
    And maintain a mental peace,
For when your mind is tranquil
All your ill thoughts simply cease.

    It’s easy to be angry
    When defrauded or defied,
    To be peeved and disappointed
    If your wishes are denied;
But to win a worthwhile battle
    Over selfishness and spite,
You must learn to keep strict silence
Though you know you’re in the right.

    So keep your mental balance
    When confronted by a foe,
    Be it enemy in ambush
Or some danger that you know.
If you are poised and tranquil
    When all around is strife,
Be assured that you have mastered
The most vital thing in life.

When Mahatma Gandhi was studying law at the University College of London, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely and always displayed prejudice and animosity towards him..

Also, because Gandhi never lowered his head when addressing him as he expected, there were always “arguments” and confrontations. One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room of the University, and Gandhi came along with his tray and sat next to the professor. The professor said, “Mr Gandhi, you do not understand. A pig and a bird do not sit together to eat.”

Gandhi looked at him as a parent would a rude child and calmly replied, “You do not worry professor. I’ll fly away,” and he went and sat at another table. Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge on the next test paper, but Gandhi responded brilliantly to all questions.

Mr. Peters, unhappy and frustrated, asked him the following question. “Mr Gandhi, if you were walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and another bag with a lot of money, which one would you take?” Without hesitating, Gandhi responded, “The one with the money, of course.”

Mr. Peters, smiling sarcastically said, “I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom, don’t you think?” Gandhi shrugged indifferently and responded, “Each one takes what he doesn’t have.”

Mr. Peters, by this time was fit to be tied. So great was his anger that he wrote on Gandhi’s exam sheet the word “idiot” and gave it to Gandhi.. Gandhi took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk, trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move.

A few minutes later, Gandhi got up, went to the professor and said to him in a dignified but sarcastically polite tone, “Mr. Peters, you signed the sheet, but you did not give me the grade.”

The Eagles Does Not a Fight The Snake On The Ground.

An eagle does not fight a snake on the ground. It picks it up and changes grounds, then releases it back to the ground.
A snake has no stamina, no power, no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is deadly, wise and powerful.
Take your fight to the spirit realm and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes charge.
Don’t fight in the physical realm change grounds like an eagle.
You will be assured of a clean uncontested victory.
This is my advise for you today as you get ready to usher into a challenging time of the year.
May God guide and protect us always..

“You’ve heard the name Deepak Chopra. You might know he’s a Harvard-trained meditative physician who’s written more than 80 books (and has 20-plus New York Times bestsellers). But this New Age guru’s thoughts, successes, and goals, and his history that led him here, it will stop you in your tracks.
Jamie and Deepak talked about a huge variety of topics — his career path; his thoughts on money, goals, success, synchronicity; and even his best mistake.

The seven following tidbits are the most meaningful insights from that conversation”…

The Seven Rules For Living A Great Life… From Deepak Chopra..

    1. Pursue excellence. Ignore success.

Deepak believes we can control the seeds we plant, but not the fruits of those seeds. Rather than striving for external validation, we should focus on being excellent at whatever work is before us. He questions our very definition of success. What matters is our own perception of what we’ve done, not anyone else’s.

    2. Life isn’t about long-term goals. It’s about right now.

During medical school, Deepak attended a lecture about goals and tried to plan his long-term goals accordingly — for all of two days. He gave up, and since then, he’s not set a single long-term goal. He prefers to live each day as it comes.

    3. Mistakes are some of our biggest opportunities.

When I asked Deepak about the best mistake he ever made, he described the day he left his endocrinology fellowship in Boston. His professor asked him for information on a patient, and the young Dr. Chopra consulted notes in his file. The professor then chastised him publicly for not having this information memorized. Deepak “lost [his] temper,” dumped the file on his supervisor’s head, and walked out of his fellowship.

He initially had trouble finding another position and had to take a subpar emergency room job for $6 an hour. Now, he says this was the best mistake he ever made, because that was the beginning of his path to following his bliss. That step is what eventually led him to holistic medicine.

    4. The deeper you go, the higher you fly.

Many of us struggle to find answers to life’s big questions. What should our next career move be? Is this the right person to spend my life with? When I asked Deepak how he seeks answers, he was adamant that all the answers we need lie within us. The tough part is to really get quiet, listen, and then heed that wisdom.

    5. You can’t win big if you don’t take big risks.

When making decisions, Deepak typically opts for the “calculated risk, where the payoff [is] bigger.” Despite his meditative presence, which many people equate with complacency, he was born for adventure and takes whatever chances he thinks might pay off. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don’t. But the only way to know is to try.

    6. An unhealthy lifestyle almost always precedes the birth of a wellness junkie.

At the beginning of his American medical career, the young Dr. Chopra fell into the lifestyle of many Americans (especially those in high-stress jobs, such as doctors), which included smoking, drinking, and “a lot of drama.” Fortunately, this stress eventually led him to take up a meditation practice, which he’s now shared with millions of people around the globe.

    7. Truly great people would rather do than discuss.

During our time together, there was just one question he wouldn’t answer. He said, “I don’t like to talk about the entity called ‘Deepak Chopra.’”

Maybe you heard this one before

    TAP ON THE SHOULDER

This is a true story from the Manchester Evening News:

Last Wednesday, a Passenger in a Taxi heading for Salford Station leaned over to ask the Driver a question and gently tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

The Driver screamed, lost control of the Taxi, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window.

For a few moments everything was silent in the Taxi. Then, the shaking Driver said, “Are you OK? I’m so sorry, but you scared the daylights out of me. ”

The badly shaken Passenger apologized to the Driver and said, “I didn’t realize that a mere tap on the shoulder would startle someone so badly. ”

The Driver replied, “No, no, I’m the one who’s sorry, it’s entirely my fault. Today is my very first day driving a Taxi. I’ve been driving a Hearse for 25 years .”

YOU ARE THE BEST by Andy Rooney

If you will take the time to read these. I promise you’ll come away with an enlightened perspective. The subjects covered affect us all on a daily basis:

They’re written by the late Andy Rooney (ex-60 Minutes USA), a man who had the gift of saying so much with so few words. Enjoy…….

I’ve learned…. That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I’ve learned…. That when you’re in love, it shows.

I’ve learned…. That just one person saying to me, ‘You’ve made my day!’ makes my day.

I’ve learned…. That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I’ve learned…. That being kind is more important than being right.

I’ve learned…. That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I’ve learned…. That I can always pray for someone when I don’t have the strength to help him in some other way.

I’ve learned…. That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I’ve learned…. That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

I’ve learned…. That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I’ve learned…. That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I’ve learned…. That we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.

    I’ve learned…. That money doesn’t buy class.

I’ve learned…. That it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I’ve learned… That under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I’ve learned…. That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I’ve learned…. That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I’ve learned…. That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I’ve learned…. That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I’ve learned…. That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I’ve learned…. That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I’ve learned… That life is tough, but I’m tougher.

I’ve learned…. That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I’ve learned…. That when you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I’ve learned…. That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away.

I’ve learned…. That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I’ve learned…. That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I’ve learned…. That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you’re hooked for life.

I’ve learned…. That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.

I’ve learned…. That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Use the good china everyday as today is all that matters.

We all know someone who keeps plastic covers on his or her couch in order to protect it. The irony is that many of these people may live their lives without ever having actually made contact with their own furniture! This is a poignant and somewhat humorous example of the human tendency to try to save things for special occasions, as if everyday life weren’t special enough to warrant the use of nice things. Many of us have had the experience of never wearing a particular piece of clothing in order to keep it nice, only to have it go out of style in the meanwhile.

It’s interesting to think of what it would mean to us if we let ourselves wear our nicest clothes and eat off the good china on a daily basis. We might be sending ourselves the message that every day we are alive is a special day and a cause for celebration, and that we are worth it. There is something uplifting about treating ourselves to the finest of what we have. It is as if we rise to the occasion when we wear our best clothes and set the table beautifully, as if for a very special guest. We are more mindful of where we place things, what we are eating, and who is with us. Using the good china, eating in the dining room, and taking the plastic off the sofa might be an invitation to be more conscious of the beauty and grace inherent in our everyday lives.

If there are things you’ve stashed away for a special occasion—a bottle of special wine, a gorgeous pair of shoes, an antique lace tablecloth—consider taking them out of their hiding places and putting them to use tonight, just because you are alive now to enjoy them, and that’s a great cause for a celebration.

      The Three Sisters Joke….

Three sisters of age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together.

One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts her foot in and pauses.

She yells down the stairs, “Was I getting in or out of the bath?”

The 94 year old yells back, “I don’t know, I’ll come up and see.”
She starts up the stairs and pauses, then she yells, “Was I going up the stairs or coming down?”

The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters.

She shakes her head and says, “I sure hope I never get that forgetful.” She knocks on wood for good measure.

She then yells, “I’ll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who’s at the door.”

“Hands and minds that help another without a selfish motive are greater than lips and voices that pray without divine intentions. One must earn one’s true efforts. However, one must realise that sometimes, one can only give and expect nothing back in return. When one does something helpful to another everyday for which one does not get paid nor rewarded, it is that particular deed that wipes the slat of one’s collective karma. Our human karma is the reason and cause for every single suffering or happiness we encounter. To do a kind and generous deed without any expectation in return is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life because in return we have helped our own soul divine and our own hearts to attain fuller joy, the larger spiritual delight of many lights!”

      Kris … I was thinking of you…
Girl this life can truly be described as
A bubble in the ocean..A cloud in the sky. .
and there’s not one thing anyone can do
to change the laws that govern this universe.
Nothing is permenant in this world…
